Strangetown extras: Ripp is obsessed with his own mortality

Now, I know that I've been known to InSIM Ripp into a variety of ailments, and I've even killed him a couple of times to get the shots I needed for the story, but is that any reason for him to become fixated on death? I'm starting to worry about his mental health, just a little. Check out the fear that he rolled during a recent session at the Grunt house...

Hmmm. Does this happen often? I've never seen it before. I mean, it seems reasonable to fear your own death, and maybe a little obvious, but does Ripp have some reason to think that he might actually die? Is it because of the recent trend of deaths in the Grunt family? This doesn't seem very healthy to me.

The other wants/fears are typical. He's been fairly obsessed with becoming friends with both Frances and Nervous, based on his recent interactions with them, and he always rolls wants to flirt with people (that one is a cheerleader - a favourite booty call of his), and to buy various instruments. The only typical want that's missing is "woohoo in bed". Yeah, it's always there and it's always "in bed" (I think he just likes to pass out afterwards, since he's so awesomely lazy). Also, Ripp's not really a freshman. He's a senior. (InSIMing is to blame again.) Don't get the idea that they'll never, ever graduate from LFT. *snicker* I may be slow, but I'm not THAT slow.

Anyway, I thought that it was pretty amusing, so I thought I'd share.

I had Pascal Curious roll the fear of being old and never married once. Because of that I *almost* forgave him for the havoc he caused in my Strangetown asylum (he can be a mean one when you leave him to his own devices!)

Pascal can be mean? I'm not surprised. It probably relates to his distaste for slobs and his inability to take a joke. Those serious sims don't like pranks and such, so they get pissed off.

That's such a sad little fear that they get. I saw it when I was playing Kaylynn Langerak as a single mother. She was happy enough with just her children wants, but then that huge fear rolled around. I felt bad about it.

Yep that was a huge part of it. He'd cleaned up one too many puddles I suppose, lol. It always did bug me how that made the sims furious with each other like that. I mean, I get irritated at my hubby when he messes up the house too but I don't want to go pummel him!

Here's my asylum if you ever get a chance. I'm thinking about posting it on LJ as well (smile) Or I might just do another one. It was insanely fun to play!

Yeah, the furious thing always seemed like a bit too much to me.

Oh, cool! I'll go take a look.
