"Umm, hello? Am I in the right place?"




"Oh, well hello. You must be Ripp. You're right on time. I'm Dr. Cloud. Come on in."

He stepped inside and looked around.

"Have a seat."




Ripp lowered himself back into the chair.

"So, what brings you here today, Ripp?"

"Well... this is going to sound really stupid..."




"I assure you I've heard it all before."




"Umm, well, I think I might be addicted to sex."

Ginger made some notes on her notepad. "Yes, that's not an uncommon problem."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Oh, well I feel better already."




"How frequently would you say you have sex? On average."

"Weekly? Or daily?"

"Daily would be fine."

"Do I count jerking off?"

"If you want to."

"Okay."




Ginger watched as Ripp counted on his fingers. Her eyes widened as he reached the end, and doubled back to count them again.

"I'm joking," he said. "but I do it at least once a day, usually two or three times."

"Does it leave you feeling out of control?"

He considered this.




"No. It leaves me feeling awesome."




"So you don't see it as a problem?"

"No. Are you kidding?! I'm just here because someone told me I should come to see a therapist, so I figured it must be a good idea."

"Well, I would say that as long as you're not hurting anyone, you're practicing safe sex, and you feel healthy, then you're fine. Some people just have more sex drive than others."

"Okay, well I have a girlfriend, more or less, and she doesn't seem to mind. I do worry about tiring her out, though, since I'm not the only one sleeping with her."

There was a long pause.




He added, "Oh, yeah... I'm in a bit of a three-way relationship. I guess I should have mentioned that. And also, I have some questions about sexuality. You know, thoughts about other guys... and, well, sex with aliens... and maybe... umm, robots?"

"Hmm, yes. I see." Ginger made numerous notes on her notepad. "Well, would you like to talk about that?"

"Umm, yeah... sure. If you don't mind..."

Dr. Cloud made herself comfortable. She could see it was going to be a very long session.

Weekend working is generally less stressful than my day job. I go to work at 9:30 pm for a couple of hours. It's not really a big deal, and the show is decent, so I won't be too bored or anything. I can just veg out.
