I've been having a serious crashing problem with my game today. It crashed four times, all with the same sim (a newly created one). I thought it was the lot, but then I saw that each time it happened it was right when I found her a job at Mr. Humble's computer. It might be some hack conflict or other bothersome thing, so I'll keep working on it. Maybe I'll try the same thing with another sim (though it seems unlikely that the sim herself is the problem, right?).

Anyway, I did manage to get some pics for this wish list, so that's good. I'm keeping with the couple theme, in an effort to catch up (oh, who am I kidding... well, I had a pretty good run while it lasted).






Letters to Santa: Buck Grunt and Jill Smith





Dear Santa-Jill,

For Christmas, I would like some new art supplies. I need some new oils, including titanium white, alizarin crimson, cadmium red, cobalt blue, yellow ochre, burnt umber, and lots of cadmium green, phthalo green, sap green, and viridian.

I would also like a new decoration for the fish tank (I liked the dollhouse we saw at the Planetary Pet Store), and an automatic feeder.

I'd also be happy with a new sweater or a book or two. Any of the books on my Books4Sims.com wish list would be good, but I'd especially like one of the vintage Sim-plicity sewing books, or the collection of early sketches by Yves Sim Laurent.

Dear Santa-Buck,

I've left some bookmarks in your book of fabric swatches, to give you some idea of what I'd like for my dress. I'm so excited! I'm really looking forward to wearing it during the holidays. It's going to be beautiful, and how many other girls will have a dress that their boyfriend sewed just for them? Not many. Lucy and Bottom are going to be so jealous.

What else? I'm sure you've already picked out things I'd like better than anything I could come up with, but if you're stuck, you can always get me a new journal, or the dvd of that Bubble Bath movie, or a new novel. I also really liked that Rugs of Energy rug by MA Designs that we looked at the other day, so if you want to give me something that's really for yourself too, that's cool by me.

OMG THEY ARE SO OTP IT HURTS. BUT IT'S SUCH A GOOOOD HURT.

Buck needs SO MANY greens! Because of his Jilly Billy! And his wuv for her hair and her eyes and her everything. :3333 And a dollhouse for the fish tank (his second love!)!! Also book lists and sewing stuff!!!! Omgosh I love Buck so much.

And Jill! She loves him and he's making her a special dress just for her and she's going to be the prettiest girl ever. Also, that line about buying a rug that's more for himself tugs at my heart and I also first read it as Buck buying Jill some sexy lingerie as a gift for himself, because THAT IS ALL I EVER THINK OF WHEN I SEE THESE TWO.

Heheh. I knew you'd like this one. Buck is such an easy boy to buys gifts for, isn't he? He has a lot of hobbies, and they're really specific. I need to show you a pic of their apartment now. The upstairs is just filled with Buck's sewing and art stuff. Hmmm, maybe I will... *goes off to get a pic*

Yeah, I forgot about that sort of gift. I could definitely see them doing something like that, but maybe they wouldn't want to write it on a note that prying eyes could see?

You have good reason to think that when you see them. All they ever do in my game is get their romance on. I have to try to keep them on task, but it's hard. They always revert back to crossing the lot to "kiss lightly." *sigh* It's very cute.

LOL! I don't know, I see them and they always seem to be doing adorably innocent things, but in the back of my mind I'm like: "YOU DO NOT FOOL ME YOU TWO I KNOW YOU ARE SEXUAL DEVIANTS I KNOW."

Buck's list of paint colors reminded me of Bob Ross. When I was little, the local cultural channel used to pass his painting shows frequently. It was hilarious, albeit not on purpose, of course. The show was in English, with the spanish translation overlapped, so you could listen to both tracks at the same time.

And he always chose "bladder green" when he wanted to feel "adventurous" while painting his trees. Bladder green... I have no idea if it was a translation mistake or not, but it is now a common joke down here in my country.

Back on topic...

I agree with beyondheroism about those two being my OTP in your story :). The chapter where they get together is still one of my favorites (perhaps my Number 1). They are just so sweet, which is a relief amid all the drama surrounding their older siblings.

And Jill is so lucky to have such a creative and "crafty" boyfriend. Their house must look so cute with all those paintings and crafts everywhere.

You've seriously killed me with that "bladder green" thing. *snort* That's too funny. It's probably a translation error, but knowing art materials, it wouldn't completely surprise me if it was made from bladders either. :P I loved watching Boss Ross as a child.

Aww, thanks. :) That was a fun storyline to do. Jill and Buck might have their own dramas in time, but I see them sticking together. They seem like a good match to me.

Less cartoonish in pose or in design? Her cc hair is a little shinier than most of my stuff, if that's what you mean. I made an exception for the lovely green colour. (And that face on Buck in the last image is really cartoony.)

Thanks. :) Maybe it's the circumstances surrounding them, but Buck and Jill have settled into a very married type of relationship already.

*snicker* I wonder how close I am to actually carrying pictures of my sims around in my wallet? If I ever go over the deep end, I'm sure I'll be doing that. Even for a town with a large percentage of local characters (we even have a guy named Jesus, who rides around on bike all day), that would be a new one.

I especially love Buck in the sweater in the last pic. There's something so cute about it. I imagine him knitting it himself too. I really wish someone would extract that animation from Mrs. Crumplebottom. I have the extracted knitting itself (from GOS), but it's just not the same.

I love Jill and Buck!! My sister got the Curious Bro, when we broke up the MA Families and then my Jill goes missing. I'm like did she died? what happened?
Apparently she got married to Lazlo. IM LIKE Nooo.......! JILL!! *attacks sister! How could you!! They're Uncle/Niece and she's like OH..opps. *note Im the serious player here, she goes on once awhile
