Johnny and Ripp artwork
I made a drawing of Johnny and Ripp. It's probably been a whole year since I've really drawn anything at all, so I'm pretty proud of myself. And I've never attempted to colour a drawing in Photoshop before, so that's also a bit of an achievement (even if it's mediocre at best). I usually draw flat, black and white line drawings, but I thought I'd try some colour. So, yeah... here's another cartoon take on these guys, with a little conversation to go along with it.

Johnny: Is it really necessary to take up SO MUCH SPACE?
Ripp: MmmmmHmmmmm... sure is.
Johnny: You need new socks.
Ripp: But the air vents reduce foot odour...
Johnny: You still have foot odour.
Ripp: I said reduce, not prevent.
Johnny: It's GROSS.
Ripp: Ah, you love it.

That's really cool you can draw something like this freehand! What's the medium? It's hard for me to tell but I'm guessing markers? Maybe?
Duh... just noticed you had said Photoshop, lol. I guess I didn't put two and two together on that. :D
Anyway great work!

I did draw it with a marker, actually. A pigment liner. I drew it in pencil, scanned it, printed it in a light colour, inked it, then scanned it again, and coloured it in Photoshop. I'd never be able to draw something in Photoshop... or not very easily, anyway. I'm not very used to using a stylus and I've been drawing by hand all my life.
There was a lot of hand-holding from my SO along the way, and not the romantic kind. :P He set me straight about shading and highlighting layers in Photoshop. It makes the colouring a lot more possible.
And thank you... It's cool to be able to do things that aren't in the game, like the socks. Where I come from, people don't wear shoes inside the house, so that detail has always bothered me. Sims even make out on their bed with their shoes on. *tsk, tsk*
