ACR Again: Is it ACR or LMAO?

So, a little update on my ACR test with JRO...

(Acronyms are FUN! Wheeee!)

Johnny proposed to move the makeout session upstairs and to make it more naked.

(Didn't think he had it in him, did you? He's obviously not holding out for anything anymore...)

After some foreplay... ;)

Johnny wins. Not only did he get there before Ripp did, he knows that a lady needs some warming up first.

Morning arrives, and Johnny heads to class...

Ripp decides to skip it. :P

I'm not surprised that he chose the coach. Not at all.

They seem quite pleased with themselves.

The best part was afterwards, though...

Ripp: Fuck yeah! That was awesome, even for me.

Then they flirt with each other for about an hour or so.

Ummm... *snicker* Did they include that with ACR too?

Oh, wait. That's just the Bon Voyage bow.

Ripp: Hey look - Johnny's home! HI JOHNNY!!!

And Johnny takes over the wooing again.

I'm amused.

Obviously, this is not to be taken as any sort of canon to the story. *snicker* That will progress as I want it to. It was funny to see what they'd like to do on their own, though.

Yeah, good call on turning that off. How old is your daughter again? I can just imagine you getting questions about why the sims took off all their clothing and started "cuddling" on the couch. :P

Then again, kids pick up that stuff pretty young these days, and it's been that way for a while. I remember knowing about it well before I was a teen. I didn't have all the mechanics worked out (I had no concept of having to move anything in and out, for example *snort* In my world, you just "put it in"), but I knew about sex.

Yes, everyone was pretty pleased with this... especially Phi, I imagine. ;)

I love that idea too. I'm looking forward to seeing that happen in my game. So even single romance sims will decide to try for baby sometimes? That's awesome. (For some reason, I love playing single mother romance sims.)

Yes, I agree. I usually follow through on any rolled wants, so my game takes me in odd directions at times, anyway. I once played Lilith and Dirk, and while they were engaged, Dirk rolled the want to flirt with a pretty face template one blonde he knew from college. I let him have the affair. Lilith was still struggling with her previous dalliance with Don Lothario, so it evened out (but oh... the drama!).

I'm still playing my Prosperity hood on the side too, so this will be fun for that.

Heheh. Not at all. Ripp appreciates the cheering squad.

Is it programmed to make them want to woohoo more in college? That would make sense to me too. It sounds like so much fun. It must be hard to keep people focused on studying.

I take it your Jill is a romance sim? ;)

[identity profile] muslemura.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I was surprised too 'cause I haven't had any single romancers trying for baby before - at least not successfully. They were living together (they're first cousins) in a bachelorette pad though, so that might have something to do with it? Now Party Central is turned into Diaper Central but I think they'll still have time to throw parties and invite all their single (preferrably male) friends over for fun and games ;)

So both of them got pregnant at the same time? That sounds like a great story, just waiting to be told.

[identity profile] simnovoris.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I love ACR. But most of all I love the greeting thing they always do, even if they've just cheated their asses off behind the newly arrived sim's back. It really is like Ripp's comment "Look - Johnny's home! HI JOHNNY!" :)

And I wonder, too, if it's even more desireable to woohoo in college. I've had so much on- and off-scene drama in Veronaville. Awesome.

Johnny and Ripp never stop doing that wave thing, and it always amuses me. Sometimes they've been in the room together for ages and then they wave. They could get in a huge brawl and then turn around and wave hello, I think. It makes them seem a little... slow. *snicker*

It's very appropriate for college. I love it. It would be cool if it included some programming that made them a little more likely to go against their usual sexual orientation too, since so many people experiment in college.

Veronaville must have so much drama with ACR.

[identity profile] simnovoris.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Veronaville is insane with ACR. But in a good way, of course. I don't turn free will off either so I have myself to blame for everything. (Although one of my favourite aspects is the sex-without-love thing which means less fights and dramaqueens. :)) One of the funniest things that just happened was Romeo seducing Hermia while I looked away - I went through her memories later and went "oh? Oh!" It's appropriate to sleep with the sister if the girlfriend isn't putting out, right?

He's just so darn classy.

[identity profile] smjoshsims.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
For the Cranes, I'm playing by the rules, and for points- the rules say no gameplay changing hacks, and the ability to sleep with someone after like three interactions DEFINITELY counts as a game play changing hack. I might add it back for the Thornns, but it's too much work to have to add it, take it back out, etc. when I want to play the Cranes.

Do you still get the Maxis jealousy for those who are in love/committed/married? I seem to be having trouble with that in my game. Am I missing an add-on or something?

Romeo sleeping with Juliet's sister is priceless. :D No wonder he has such a bad reputation in Veronaville.

[identity profile] strange-tomato.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Right... I forgot about the "no hacks" rule. Do people generally listen to that when doing legacies? I can't imagine playing without some of the MATY hacks, like the phone hack.

ACR does make finding a mate much easier. Romance sims are a lot easier to play.

[identity profile] simnovoris.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I get the jealousy, yeah. But you can turn it off via ACR - the options are "normal Maxis" and "none on lot", if I remember correctly. The loveless woohoo in my game is more a product of the free will causing them to act on their attraction even without being in love and the no instant love hack. The latter caused OH SO MANY rejected woohoos for poor Romeo. Because family sims save themselves or something. :)

[identity profile] strange-tomato.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I have the loveless woohoo thing working fine, but the jealousy for those in love seemed missing. I'll check that setting the next time I play. Thanks for the tip!

So family sims are more likely to reject a woohoo advance with someone they aren't in love with? Very interesting...

[identity profile] smjoshsims.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually do have many MATY hacks, mostly fixes, and I do have some other hacks that I can't live without (nobiting, creaturefixes) so It's not like I'm playing a completely vanilla game. ;)

[identity profile] smjoshsims.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Family Sims have to have higher relationships with the intended woohooer than other Sims- I guess TJ thought they would be prudes compared to Pop and Knowledge?
ext_122042: (Default)

[identity profile] strange-tomato.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really get the whole family sims = prudes thing. Those things don't have to go hand in hand. I mean... I'M in a committed relationship and I'M not a prude. :P

Knowledge sims should be the prudes, if anything. It's like the stereotype for the bookish nerds to be less adept at and inclined towards romance.

It does make sense with the way Maxis set them up, though... and it's nice to have difference between the aspirations.

I would have a really hard time playing without that sanity fixes now, so I don't blame you. I can't see that being an issue with the legacy rules either.

[identity profile] smjoshsims.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah me neither. I'm kind of a prude, and I consider myself a Fortune Sim.

I agree, it seems like Family Sims would be more inclined to sleep around, anything to get that coveted baby they crave so badly.

[identity profile] smjoshsims.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That's exactly why I use them. ;)

[identity profile] swhedonberry.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, my Jill's a fortune sim. ACR just whored her up. It's a wonder she didn't get pregnant sooner.

I don't think it's actually programmed that way. There's just more opportunity for the autonomous actions to take place because of the cheerleaders, dormies, llamas, cows, and professors always walking by. Also, people will come into the dorms and stay forever making the minimal requirements for ACR happen pretty quickly.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahaha. Awesome. :)

Now -I- want to try out ACR... >_>

[identity profile] simnovoris.livejournal.com 2008-09-05 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, when I play the Fortune sims are the real prudes. My Fortune sims never seem to have the interest/energy to flirt or chase people like that. All they want is to go to work, buy expensive furniture and get their kids into private school. No time for woohoo.

Family sims are only worried about getting caught cheating, after all. :P

[identity profile] muslemura.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes it does, doesn't it? I practically fell off my chair when I heard the second lullaby :)

But where did I leave my storytelling skills? Oh, that's right I have the nostorytellingfromyou hack installed and can't seem to get rid of it :P I was born to read stories :)

[identity profile] 80sfiend.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
LOL way too funny! :D

[identity profile] a-gates.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
LOL. I love it. I want ACR. I think Family Sims are prude because of the whole monogamous issue, commited to the ONE and ONLY. I don't see knowledge sims as prudes, because of the whole librarian/secret sex dominatrix angle?
