Strangetown extras: The Curious children model some cc clothing

I'm sure that most of you are already aware of the lovely children's clothing that fakepeeps7 has been posting on MTS2 lately, but I just wanted to gush about it here anyway. Her latest upload, the Back to School Collection, had some great stuff in it.

Here they are: Mint, Orion, and Galaxy Curious.

You know... if I had my time back, I would have been more creative with the names for the twins, but it's too late for that now. Orions are a dime a dozen and Galaxy seems a bit too obvious for Vidcund. I'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones.

The twins are wearing items from the Back to School collection and Mint wears one of the Strappy Summer Sundresses.

I have no idea why Galaxy is so angry here. She's a really nice sim. *shrugs* This shot is just to show you the awesome spaceship detail there. The green clashes with her skin, but she liked the spaceship, so there you go.

Galaxy gives me the impression that she has no time for tranditionally girly stuff. There's the transition into that short hair, which I didn't change, and she also transitioned into a pair of overalls that is unisex. Her OTH is science too, so I'm just going to go with that.

Mint starts up a game of tag with Orion. Galaxy just chills out and watches.

*snicker* A turkey neck.

Orion: Got ya!

Orion is perpetually happy, unless he has to clean up, do work, or you tease him (and then he bursts into tears). His personality is 0/10/0/10/10 (the same one that Ripp has, but to the EXTREME), so I'm not surprised. He's great.

Orion: Now you're it!

Mint: NAH UH! You didn't even touch me!

Orion: Yeah, I did.

Mint: I want to play something else.

Then they play cops and robbers for a while.

Mint: I'm DYING!

Orion: Are you okay?

Mint: I really tricked you? Man, you're so DUMB!

Orion: I'm tiiiiiired. Want to play video games instead?

Check out the cool dinosaur graphic on the back of the vest.

Galaxy ignores her twin and sibling/cousin (yeah, that's right... one more tangled branch in the Curious family tree) to enjoy some quieter activities.

Galaxy: Is that heading for the Beaker mansion? Looks like Erin maxed her credit card again.

Oooh, congratulations! How did the wedding go? (I'll never get used to calling him my husband, either, I'm sure... and I told him he can call me "wifey", but that's it. :P)

I love that llama shirt too.

Orion... C'mon, everyone's doing it. ;)

The wedding was good! Small and simple, just like us. We keep calling each other 'husband' and 'wife' and smiling at each other in sickeningly cute ways, but it still hasn't quite sunk in yet. You'll probably have fun with that too. :)

And too late, we already named the kids. :) Would you believe it, our Vidcund also had twins AND so did Jenny! We DID feed them both cheesecake (I like alien babies ok) but we have a twojeffs' hack that reduces the cheesecake successrate to 20%, so...

What's really funny is when your maiden name starts sounding strange to you. Like I can't believe that was EVER my name. It's just not me anymore I guess, lol!

Well, that won't happen to me. ;) It'll still be there... but so will his.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I imagine so! I'm not going to have that problem, I didn't change my name... :)

We're both changing our name, so we can share in the fun. :D We're not going to bother to make it legal for a while though. Our passports are still good for a couple of years, so we're going to be practical about it.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah, I like practical! Both of us have names that are hard to spell (it really is beyond me how mine is hard to spell, though, but everyone's just terrible at it), and both are relatively unique too. It would be a horrible mess if we took both names, no one would ever be able to get it right EVER.

The name combining thing really doesn't work for everyone, unless you chop them down or just make an entirely new name (which has a limited appeal). Ours are both pretty short (one and two syllables), and as common as dirt, so a new name is appealing.

Practical is always good.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds very managable. Ours would be a five-syllable monstrosity with 15 letters and it would score very highly in Scrabble.

"it would score very highly in Scrabble."

I seriously cracked up when I read that. :D Well said.

Yeah, that will become a huge joke, I'm sure, and he'll use "wife" to annoy me and such.

I recently added that cheesecake hack too, and I'm excited about it, since knowing with 100% certainty is not as fun.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and with that Free Time twins benefit, it just became too easy. I really like that hack, I've already confirmed that it works by feeding a pregnant sim cheesecake and NOT getting twins.

Oh, since you're on the whole wedding track (or are you sick of it by now?), I thought you might enjoy this. My SO is making a cake topper of us out of sculpy.

So, that should give you and idea of what I look like, if my simself hasn't given you enough of an idea already. ;)

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Not sick of it yet!

That's awesome and very cute. :) I like your SO's style a lot. (I used to draw myself, not very seriously though. My husband (!) keeps telling me I should pick it up again, possibly try to draw some sims.)

Simselves always make me curious to see a real picture for comparison. I don't have a simself, I think I'd be weirded out if she died or had babies or something.

I used to draw a lot more than I do, and I'd love to pick it up again too.

I did breed our simselves, way back when I first installed the game, and it was frightening. I'd love to try it again with our newer, better simselves. The old ones were a little off.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, did you fiddle a lot with the sliders and get Ottomas-esque kids?

I'd love to see some of your art if you do pick it up again!

[identity profile] cindyanne1.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That is so adorable!

And kudos for no name changing! I did bring that up back in the day to my hubby, and he got offended. :P He's just too old-fashioned I think! Or was... I think now he'd be a bit more relaxed about that sort of thing, lol.

=O Woah! Thats cool!
