Strangetown extras: The Curious children model some cc clothing

I'm sure that most of you are already aware of the lovely children's clothing that fakepeeps7 has been posting on MTS2 lately, but I just wanted to gush about it here anyway. Her latest upload, the Back to School Collection, had some great stuff in it.

Here they are: Mint, Orion, and Galaxy Curious.

You know... if I had my time back, I would have been more creative with the names for the twins, but it's too late for that now. Orions are a dime a dozen and Galaxy seems a bit too obvious for Vidcund. I'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones.

The twins are wearing items from the Back to School collection and Mint wears one of the Strappy Summer Sundresses.




I have no idea why Galaxy is so angry here. She's a really nice sim. *shrugs* This shot is just to show you the awesome spaceship detail there. The green clashes with her skin, but she liked the spaceship, so there you go.

Galaxy gives me the impression that she has no time for tranditionally girly stuff. There's the transition into that short hair, which I didn't change, and she also transitioned into a pair of overalls that is unisex. Her OTH is science too, so I'm just going to go with that.




Mint starts up a game of tag with Orion. Galaxy just chills out and watches.




*snicker* A turkey neck.




Orion: Got ya!

Orion is perpetually happy, unless he has to clean up, do work, or you tease him (and then he bursts into tears). His personality is 0/10/0/10/10 (the same one that Ripp has, but to the EXTREME), so I'm not surprised. He's great.




Orion: Now you're it!

Mint: NAH UH! You didn't even touch me!

Orion: Yeah, I did.

Mint: I want to play something else.

Then they play cops and robbers for a while.




Mint: I'm DYING!

Orion: Are you okay?




Mint: I really tricked you? Man, you're so DUMB!

Orion: I'm tiiiiiired. Want to play video games instead?

Galaxy ignores her twin and sibling/cousin (yeah, that's right... one more tangled branch in the Curious family tree) to enjoy some quieter activities.




Galaxy: Is that heading for the Beaker mansion? Looks like Erin maxed her credit card again.

That last picture made me giggle. Bad Erin, lol! But I can so see her as being the kind to watch the home shopping network all hours of the day and night, lol!

When you said "pregnancy hormones" I about had a heart attack. You were talking about Vidcund's, right? :P


Edited to add that I'm still looking for your H&M recolor. No luck yet though. Sigh.

Oh, I'm glad it was news to someone, anyway. They're really cute, aren't they? I like almost all of the things that fakepeeps7 has posted so far. I love the little Maxis graphics.

I can totally see Erin spending too much money like that.

Yeah, those would be Vidcund's pregnancy hormones. :P The jury is still out on whether I'll ever have any of those myself.

I think I've downloaded all of her stuff. She's a very creative person and her children outfits are not only extremely well done, but they are more than just recolors. Now that I'm playing a lot full of children, I can't wait to try out her stuff on them! :)

Your alien kids are adorable! My favorite is Galaxy and her tomboy-ish style :).

I agree. She makes great stuff, and it's mostly (all?) original meshes. They're well crafted and match the Maxis style, even to the point of using the same graphics from tee shirts, etc. I wholeheartedly approve.

Thanks. They haven't had a lot of exposure in the story yet, because they're just kids at this point. My interesting in writing about children is pretty limited, and their personalities are still forming. We'll see more of them later on.

They're cuties, for sure. Orion looks a lot like madame_ugly's Pierre Curious, I think. Mint is like an alien Pascal who sucked on a lemon.

We've all dropped the ball on naming Curious spawn- heck, I named Pascal's son Deimos!

But both names are nic-able, and I wouldn't be surprised if teachers kept calling him "Ryan" or something. I'd probably end up calling then Ry and Lax in my head while playing them (but I'm notorious for nicknaming my sims).

Deimos sounds like a fine name to me. I guess I'm not in the know enough to even know why it's uncool.

I definitely saw him going by Rion, which people would take as Ryan. Lax or Laxy would be fine, if I didn't already have a Jaxy. Oh well... maybe she'll go by Gal.

Lol, it`s as if "Orion" is everyone`s first name choice of Curious male alien spawns. I`m guilty of it myself many times (the first girl is usually Andromeda).

I know. I had no idea Orion was so overused. It has a nice ring to it, so I guess that's why. My problem with naming those kids was that I didn't have much of a plan going in. I put a lot more thought into it now.

Surprise, surprise... I already ideas for future children of some of my favourites. *wink, wink* (Though one of the male names was recently used by a couple of people on my flist, so that might be the end of that one too.)

They're great clothes, aren't they? We've needed some nice children's clothing like that. FreeTime added some great stuff too, so the kids are happy these days.

I love Mint too. She's a brat, but she's also a genius. She's had maxed logic since her first day or two as a child. She's very intense, but she's super serious, just like Pascal (that's why the logic gaining was so easy - serious sims have a boost there).

Galaxy doesn't concern herself with such trivial distinctions as "boy" and "girl". ;) It'll be fun to take that idea and run with it.

My Pascal popped twin girls after his second abduction, I spent a good long time trying to decide on names for them.

Lunaris (Black hair)

I know I already commented but I'd like to throw in my original-name-d-ness (I wasn't really quite sure what to use there, so.... :P) of my Curious spawn. I never name aliens anything special, maybe because I'm boring, but for my newest incarnation of Strangetown Pascal had Marina, Contessa, and... Oh, man, I always forget her name. BUT- they weren't aliens. They were supposed to be, but due to my game being weird they all came out as clones of Pascal. But Vidcund had a daughter named Polly-Anna!

I always love to see the reactions of my sims after I give them a make-over. Sometimes they're thrilled beyond belief and at other times the reaction is more like, 'oh, god, no." LOL!
They are all nice outfits, though. I really do like the spaceship on Galaxy's, even if she doesn't like it. :)

the kiddies are so cute. i really like galaxy's outfit. Isnt there a hack to change sims names? i have one that changes lastnames. i told you my frances died, and left twins behind. i used the hack to change the kids lastnames into his; well because he wasnt married.

since youre playing veronaville now, if you come across a townie that looks like the one on my icon, please let me know his lastname. he left loads of children behind and i need to change their lastnames. His first name is Jonathan, wears a greyish suit, very cute and sweet. i miss him soooo much. when he died his ghost scared his wife to death. i was like dang, wtf. lol

I'm not sure about hacks, but you can change names in SimPE. I'd probably do it, if I hadn't already mentioned them in the story. I could always go back and change them, but I probably won't bother with that.

Okay. I'll keep an eye out for him. He looks like he has the same sort of nose that Pascal and Lazlo have.
