Strangetown extras: Johnny, Ripp and Ophelia artwork - take 2
I have another drawing to share. My significant other completed his second, "new and improved" attempt at a drawing of Johnny, Ripp, and Ophelia, so here it is. I'm definitely going to make this into a painting recolour for the game at some point.

Pretty cool, don't you think? The colours are great, and I'm really liking what he did with the body shapes. He also intuitively knew that Johnny should be the butt of the joke. Why not laugh at the green guy, right?
*snicker* Ripp's hair got censored. Now how did that happen? (At least I amuse myself, right?)

That happened to me once... and I was definitely NOT amused! :D
(Stupid seagulls!)
Lovely picture! I really like the expressions of the three characters, they really match their personalities. Though I figure that as soon as the shock from being "poo-ed" by a bird wears out, there's gonna be an arched eyebrow and a long, long glare directed at the other two. This is NOT funny! :D
The censoring also made me laugh :P.
Yeah, you should make a painting or poster with it. I'll surely use it to decorate my lots ^^.

Turned out a seagull got him right in the ear... at first he thought I'd spit at him. Man I laughed so hard for about 20 minutes I couldn't breathe, and then I continued to laugh at it for the next week.

Oh shit! (pun intended!) that's hilarious! :D
I got a poop in my shoulder, just like Johnny. But your poor brother got it WAY worse! Yuck! ^^

After I left that post I called my brother to remind him of it and he said (and I quote) "*$#^ you, I still think you trained that bird"
Oh man, 6 years later and it's still making me laugh til I can't breathe

I don't blame you for laughing, though. :P

I think he captured the personalities very well with this. It's so much fun.
Yeah, those two better watch out. :P Once Johnny gets over the embarrassment, he's going to be pissed that they're laughing at him.
Censor bars always amuse me, and holding out on this mediocre secret has become a joke in itself.
I'll look into making some paintings today, I think. Maybe just a couple of them to start, with the painting creation feature in SimPE. I need to figure out how to really recolour objects, so I can use other painting meshes. So far, I haven't been able to locate the right tutorial.

I live in the middle of a huge city, so I'm only near seagulls once or twice a year at most (during the summer). Hee Hee, but I still got "pooped" by one! That's just my luck!
I'm gonna miss the censor bars once the "huge secret" is revealed. It's been pretty amusing to me too (and reading the reactions of your other readers) ^^.
Actually, I did a couple paintings using this tutorial:

It's not hard to follow at all, at least not for paintings (because I didn't have to worry about shadowing, textures and all that neat stuff I have NO idea how to handle :D).
I was able to recolor a lot of paintings with more than one image (like the four veggie one) very quickly with just the basic options from Photoshop (crop, cut and paste).

Yeah, I'm milking the suspense for all it's worth, huh? I may as well have fun with it. :)
Thanks for that! I was searching around MTS2, but I wasn't really focused at the time, so I think I skipped over that one on the first pass.
I agree. Paintings should be a good first object recolouring project. I'm looking forward to doing some of the ones with multiple frames in one mesh. I'm thinking about some family portraits.

The only annoying birds I have to deal with at the city are pidgeons. They love to poop on my car all the time and eat my dog's food (good thing she's smart enough to scare those bullies away!). And fortunately I've never been pooped by one of those!
You live so close to the beach! That's amazing! :)
My first experiment was a "family portrait" with the four veggie mesh. Actually, my creation is in the pic I sent you for [Unknown site tag] banner (the paiting with the four previous heir of my legacy). As I said, it was very easy (and fun). I'm sure you'll come up with some neat stuff too.
