Strangetown Extras: Now I'm just teasing you

I've been playing and writing a little, working towards the next Strangetown update, which should happen sometime this week. The next chapter involves a lot of characters in some small way, so I've been working my way around town and catching up with everyone. It's been a lot of fun. We'll get to see a lot of the characters that people have been asking about (yes, that does include Vidcund... many of you will be happy to know that I've been working on his story a lot lately, and have found an increased interest in him). I have a couple of fun surprises in this next one too.

We'll see a couple of new faces, including this guy:




Art hands! C'mon, everyone's doin' it!


Also, hair is a bit of a running theme. One or more people may be getting new hairstyles.

I don't know, first thing that comes to mind is adult video director. Looks like he's in a motel lining up a bed shot. Love his accessories. Oh those financially strapped college students and their easy-money gigs... ;)

I'm not sure that Ripp has fallen that far from grace... yet. *snicker* Actually, you'll see that he's at least attempting to be true to his word and, to quote him, is giving Johnny's "healthy living crap" a try.

I had a lot of fun piling the accessories on that guy. I feel it's a general tendency for people to either wear little to no jewelry, or as much as possible all at once. This guy is in the second category. I'm having a lot of fun with that new feature, and you'll see more characters with jewelry in this update. I wish the long dangly earrings worked on guys, though. Maybe I'll have to look for BV compatible jewelry downloads (I tried some before, but I hated how it used up your full face makeup category - I need that for scars and contacts, etc). I could see me making an 80's cool guy with one long dangly earring at some point.

Hehehe, I didn't mention Ripp. I'm sure there are a few bodies on campus that could be enticed into it, setting aside their morals for the promise of simoleans. You could end up with some pretty interesting pairings that way. Okay, I have to stop daydreaming on this or it'll prejudice my impressions of this new character! ;)

Yes, Ripp would come to mind... but I my mind went elsewhere. I probably shouldn't mention who I'd pair in a "naive college students become unwitting porn film costars..." Might give you ideas, lol.

LOL - You know if this guy IS an AU Broke relative, like Timmy, that daydream would be extremely awkward, if it wasn't awkward enough already. I can't wait to find out who he really is and WHAT HE REALLY DOES! Because porn director probably isn't even close. ;P

Yeah, I can see how that would be awkward. :P Funny, though. It would almost be as bad as pairing off a Maxis sim and their AU children from another story (not that I'm planning to do that). That'd be hard to pull off, anyway, if there's any resemblance at all.

You're right. He's not a porn director, but he does have a creative profession.

Awesome. I really am looking forward to their inperson introductions! Now that Ripp's really fallen in with Phi (and Johnny) I guess there won't be any twin sandwiching going on, but I'm sure they have more than one rabid fan out there, right? :D

Well, we don't know if Ripp is that settled down yet, but you're instincts are probably right there.

I'll figure out a good use for them at some point in the story, I'm sure.
