Strangetown Extras: Now I'm just teasing you

I've been playing and writing a little, working towards the next Strangetown update, which should happen sometime this week. The next chapter involves a lot of characters in some small way, so I've been working my way around town and catching up with everyone. It's been a lot of fun. We'll get to see a lot of the characters that people have been asking about (yes, that does include Vidcund... many of you will be happy to know that I've been working on his story a lot lately, and have found an increased interest in him). I have a couple of fun surprises in this next one too.

We'll see a couple of new faces, including this guy:




Art hands! C'mon, everyone's doin' it!


Also, hair is a bit of a running theme. One or more people may be getting new hairstyles.

It COULD be the angle of the art hands, but I'm seeing those slanty eyebrows that you'll usually find on the elf face template.

That's what I was thinking! But mainly I think it's the freckles. So many of the Brokes have them. :P

Yeah, it might be the freckles. I went out and got myself some. I think they're very cute.

But are the freckles a clue, or are they meant to throw you off? ;)

Yes, I thought he was covering up his ears! The nose also looks a bit similar to the elf face template.

As music_simbol said, he does share a resemblance to one of simgaroop's Brokes. :D

The freckles ARE cute! I went and downloaded a few of the Brokes myself and they came with them, and now I want to go crazy and put them on all of my sims. :P

There is a bit of a resemblance... but is it just a coincidence? I do most often concoct my original characters in the same way, by mashing up the Maxis clones.

Freckles would be fun to use on a family, as an extra level to the genetic thing that you can't really get in the game.

Hey there... Puck Summerdream? (With a black hair-dye, you said several characters are getting new hairstyles after all!) Is that new sim a Maxis character at all?

He does look like Tim, though :P. Plus he does give the vibe of being a video artist/director, like [Unknown site tag] said, and Tim's an actor too.

Hee Hee! I admit I'm addicted to freckles, and I tend to put them to all my sims.

They look so cute in game too! (and I'm not fond of the extra smooth-ness of most sim skintones, Maxis included)

You can sort of do that with one of Lyran's skintones. She has a very nice freckled skintone that I used all the time, but since I had no idea about genetizing stuff, it was extremely dominant.

I guess that now I could tweak it a bit with SimPe and use it as a genetic trait ^^.
