Strangetown Extras: Jaxy Rai's sexy pinup calendar + the man without a chin

This is mostly for

madame_ugly, who demanded a closeup of Jaxy's calendar (boy, are you ever demanding *snicker*).

Those short shorts are pretty hot. I like that the chick seems to be tinkering with that that old piece of junk (or at least pretending to), instead of just posing on the hood of a car.

Jaxy is autonomously viewing the calendar in this shot, which she does frequently. Each time, she claps her hands in approval. I find it so weird when sims do things like that to stay in character.

The calendar is part of the Days of the Week - Calendar Pack by Fantasyrogue on MTS2. Other themes include cute toddlers, sim pets, cars, and nature. The text is in simlish too, which is a bonus. My only complaint is that the colours are a little bright. The white of this calendar is nearly blinding, and it sticks out from its surroundings a little.

I also mentioned making a Gunnar icon. I took a photo to showcase his handsome profile. What do you think?

Gunnar did move out, because he graduated, making him the first LFT student to move out of that campus where time stands still, or close to it. I know you want to know what you transitioned into, so here it is...

He's the one who is painting all the Grilled Cheese paintings, by the way. I gave him that as a secondary aspiration, in an attempt to make him more appealing to play, and the paintings were a novelty, so it sort of worked.

I was hoping to post part 3 tonight, but I'm not quite happy with all of the pics, and I'm dead tired. I'll catch up on my comments and post the final section of chapter 24 tomorrow evening.

You can get debug clothes on an established character, but it's a bit of a pain. You'd have to create a CAS sim and drop him in with the family, and then move him out again. All of his clothes stay in the family's "dresser" even after he moves. But yeah, it's a bit of a pain. Downloads are good!

I don't think you could ever mess up your story!! It'll be great no matter how you tell it!

It doesn't have to be a full on legacy. It could just be an experiment. Put them on a lot and then just crap out kids that you quick age up.

I'd be down for a fast thing like that. I have a few other things to finish first, though (like adding the colorful companion animals to my "share a sim" post--sidebar: packaging those damn pets was a royal pain in the buttocks). I'm hoping to install FT on Monday. I'm so nervous.

I play only with SSU, but I removed all of the character files when I started my legacy and allowed the game to generate new ones, so I'm pretty much in the dark about all three of the Main Universities. :)

Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure it will be awesome. (Though the play would be really cool.)

So, you have a completely empty SSU, with newly generated dormies? That's cool. I just wish that the newly generated sims were combinations of the various face template, instead of the same faces over and over. The colouring and hair makes them look different, but I wish there was more genetic variety.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards doing the play, since I had a couple of plot developments that I wanted to tie into it (a number of which will be changed or made obsolete by the events of the current chapter - I got ahead of myself on a number of things). It will be good for a laugh too, and it can lead up to the big finale of their college years.

Yes. You can always download Default Face Replacements, so when your game generates new townies they have different faces. I don't use them though, the changes are way too extreme, or all of the new faces look exactly the same.

Yeah, they really took the no-chin look and made it into a work of art there. I think that Gunnar might be able to pull off decent daughters if he had them, since a lack of chin is not so bad on a female. You get the same issue in reverse if some of the more chin-y guys have daughters. They can look pretty masculine.

I have never seen then run for the grilled cheese! :D I have to go try that now. I always made Gunnar serve it, since he always had that want. After he moved out, he left a lifetime supply of grilled cheese leftovers (doesn't sound appealing, does it?).

Yeah, I might have to try to plan a little arranged marriage there, or at least the breeding.

Ooh, colourful companion animals. Very nice. I made one of those myself, the other day, with the colours I've unlocked so far. Did you have the stars on one of yours? I seem to recall that, but I can't remember which one you used them on. I made a pink and purple cat with brown stars. She's pretty great.

You're waiting until Monday? Well, it does take a while, so I recommend having a stretch of *snicker* free time to install it, and get all of the downloads working, etc.

I've never really bothered to read up on those very much. So, you can just place the default in there, and the new townies will use it? That's easy. I think I have every possible form of "no townie respawn" hack from MATY now, so I probably won't be seeing too many newly generated sims anyway, but that's an interesting option.

I'm with you... none of the replacement sets really do it for me. The Maxis templates can be pretty ugly, but I'd rather have variety than everyone looking the same. Besides, the really ugly faces are just funny.

I don't have any star patterns on the Peculiar pets. I've used the stars in Feo, though (on dogs and cats). I love playing with the layering to get star outlines. I like the bandit mask, too. I think I've unlocked just about everything by this time, so I have a nice selection of colors to work with.

It could be something like five "generations" to the ugliest offspring (using InSIM or cheats to speed it along). We could specify which sims to use beforehand, or leave it open to any Maxis stock we can think of (we know we'll use the obvious ones - Gunnar, Malcolm, etc.) Then we can compare the results (and maybe ask for audience participation? You have any other ideas for "rules"?

Oh, and the winner gets to be officially ~better~ than the loser. *snicker*

I haven't done any star outlines yet. The colouring and layering with the pet fur is so detailed. It's really fun to play with it.

A full day off to install and play with the new EP is ideal. You can use the thought of that to get you through the wedding (and booze, don't forget booze).

OOH OOH!!! And the Joque wife (don't remember her name.) She is so manly looking. Her daughter Violet however, is extremely pretty. Maxis DEFINITELY created her in body shop and not by actually breeding the mother and father.

I like generation by generation. Five generations only. Founder is Gunnar. Have to use (by the end of the challenge): Malcolm, Frances, 2 others of your choice (need not be clones but can be--clones of maxis stock only, no "bred in game" sims).

No aliens as heir (but alien spawn are encouraged--but having them as an heir kind of defeats the purpose of the whole mashup idea).

Only rule: have to show pics of ALL spawn, not JUST the heir (because I do love some photo spam).

I'm wondering about Frances... he offers some of the same weak-chinned goodness that Gunnar does, just not as severe. Though, he does have that nose... yeah, he stays.

I agree about the alien thing. It will water down the traits we're trying to preserve. And yes to showing all spawn. Pic spam encouraged.

We could do it round by round, giving a week or so between installments. Is two weeks enough time? Then we can post our results and maybe do a group post on the unbeautifulsims community with a poll to determine the winner? We need some central post for people to vote on. The voting would be fun, I think.

Oh, I love the name Violet! I named a very special sim Violet in the very first game I played. She was the daughter of Mortimer Goth and a CAS sim.

Okay, that's it. I'm in. Stupid me JUST realized that if I just add an LFT into Desiderata Valley there will already be clones of them so I don't have to worry about all of that. And Frances WILL be used! I already have sims in mind that will be great candidates for ugly over there. :P

"Splut" *snicker* Very nice. My SO makes a sound "that all girls hate" as the sound effects. Just imagine a sort of squishy sound to describe the action. Ewwww! (He's right. Even I sort of hate that sound, though it is funny. It's annoying.)

All of the breeding sims must be playable Maxis characters or their clones. We can't allow CAS sims for this challenge (though it would be fun in its own way), since it's the quest for the ultimate in Maxis ugly.

Maybe I'll make a post for the unbeautifulsims community. Are there many members there? It hasn't been extremely active lately, but this would be perfect for that comm.

Frances does it all the time because Guy is a family sim and is always serving food. And sometimes it's grilled cheese just because he loves to please his husband (and wants to stuff him up so he could be fat forever! *snicker*) I will never let him down for that. HE was the one who made him fat.

You could make it like Gunnar got extremely rich of of... Something. (Lol, how would a guy like him get rich, by being a whore?) And then as an old man he could be in an arranged marriage to the Landgraab spawn or something. And they could be so persistent about it because they want his chinless genes in their family even though he's a romance sim and he would hate it!
