Strangetown Extras: Toddler Frances
I was hoping to finish my entry for the latest
simstorytellers challenge tonight, but it's not going to happen, so in an attempt to stay true to my word, and continue to post every day this month (I'm going to be lucky if I make it to the halfway point), here's a little photo from that project anyway.

Pretty cute, don't you think?

My Frances would need alien intervention to get in a family way. But with the Nocheat crossover, there could be other options for males who want the gestational experience (but Frances isn't really in the market for kids right now, period).

What other options are there for mpreg in Nocheat?
So Frances and Daniel aren't thinking of starting a family anytime soon? I guess they're still pretty early into their relationship, really, so it's not a huge surprise.

Well (and I've never really gone into the details because I never had to) thanks to Arturo DeTreville, rogue botanist, sims can undergo a kind of genetic merger with another sim and produce offspring (so same sex pairings can have biological children--this process uses cowplants). Arturo tested it on his own husband, Maurice (which resulted in twins Giorgio and Tito) AND was approached by his brother (Carmine) to help him gestate a child (since his wife, Experience, wouldn't--results, girl child Serafina). These genetic mergers don't require a pre-existing "womb" (so neither Maurice nor Carmine have ever been abducted/implanted by aliens).
Guiseppe DeTreville (Arturo's brother) has also contributed to the reproductive technology front. He's worked with both alien genetics (he conducted research similar to Glam's, trying to understand the whole alien thing) and sim reproductive technology. This resulted in the discovery of a very potent fertility drug.
On its own, Guiseppe's drug will not cause male pregnancy (unless the male already has a "womb" of some sort). BUT, when Guiseppe's work was combined with facets of Arturo's work, the clinical trials did have interesting results in the form of Nirvana Woodstock (a male, never abducted, no "womb", no alien genetics at all) becoming pregnant (and delivering a son, Buford Pusser). The results were even MORE interesting when, long after the trials were over, Nirvana got pregnant again (delivering twins, Marilee and Annette).
SO, it seems the fine scientists of Nocheat (and big pharmaceutical companies along with the government) are having great success in making the sim population that much more fertile.
Kind of makes you understand a little more why. . .maybe. . .outsiders would be interested in watching Nocheat. . .
(oh and Frances and Daniel aren't anywhere close to ready for children yet)

Yes, I see how certain people... or other creatures... would be interested in that. Very interesting.
(Yeah, I didn't think so. I want to see more of the Frances/Daniel relationship, but I guess I'll have to wait for Book 2.)
