A little known fact about... Tank Grunt

He would never, EVER admit this to anyone, and it’s not like it actually turned him on in any way, but speaking completely objectively… he didn’t think Frances was all that bad of a kisser.

Ah, the ever popular, ever successful Grunt/Pleasant pairings. They have good chemistry.

I played a straight Frances at LFT once before and he had really great chemistry with Sarah Love. They were triple bolters in that game.

I wonder what other possible matches you could find for a gay Frances? I'm sure you'll happen on something interesting. Not having things work out with Gunnar is no big loss, in my opinion. :P

Beau could be in college before Frances left it, maybe, depending on how you're using time (and college time is weird), but you're being very strict about ages, aren't you? It could also always be a post-uni romance for Frances, if nothing else works out. (Though he and Beau have incompatible zodiac signs, so it's also possible they'll have terrible chemistry in your game.)

I'm using meetme's Uberhood and in my version Joshua Ruben rolls Francis on the hacked crystal ball. Other uni students with a preference for men are Phineaus Furley, Edwin Sharpe and Tom Freshe. A lot of the other students start off as bisexual including LFT's Mickey Dosser.

I'm not strict about keeping pairings between students at the same university, if I want to make up a back story then they could come from the same hometown, or meet at a sports event between the unis or out partying in Downtown.

The uni students actually all (or at least almost all) start out with no sexual preference at all, which I like - you can make them whatever you want without worrying about "canon", or just let ACR surprise you, which I assume is what you did. :)

I think I'm going to set Mickey to bi too, and see how he gets on with Gunnar.

I don't use ACR, I have a hack that gives you a option of My Status when you click on the active sim. And that brings up a pop-up which among other things tells you their preference towards both sexes. It may be a feature of the InSiminator but I forget. Anyways almost all the uni students had low but similar numbers for both genders except for Francis and the other three I listed above, they all had a positive numbers for males and negative for females.

The other way I decided it was by using the hacked Crystal ball. The majority of them had the 'I'm desperate and I don't care' option available and when I clicked on that some of them only rolled sims of one sex whereas others rolled a mix of both.

Still pretty sure they start out with 0 preference for both genders, but that can change pretty quickly when playing. I think other sims simply doing a 'wolf whistle' or even checking them out can sway their gender preference.

Sarah Love, you say? Hmm... I might check that out. I somehow always feel a strong urge to break up her and Matthew Hart. Besides, he has better chemistry with Lola Curious anyway... Can you tell I enjoy playing match-maker? :P

I saw Gunnar blowing hearts at (currently straight) Mickey Dosser. I might give that a go. They seem to fit together somehow.

I do control the aging very carefully, so Frances will be well out of college by the time Beau gets there, who is not yet a teen presently. Of course if they turn out to have great chemistry later on, I might go for it, but I think I'll look for something else. There's always (down)townies, if all else fails. ;)

Well, I have Fran with Jasmine Rai in my game. The chemistry isn't that hot (but chemistry is behaving weirdly in my Strangetown, period - Klara Vonderstein is the hot siren of LFT!), but the rock-and-roll chick and the conservative business type has a certain classical panache. Fran has to loosen up to get anywhere in my Strangetown's limited and offbeat economy, while Jazz needed somebody to quiet her down a bit. I'm having a little trouble with her lack of ardency, but I almost always have that problem with Popularity sims.

Crossing University borders, have you considered Jane Stacks? Heather could lead him quite a life. Or, for a gay pairing, Erik Swain or Jared Starchild? Jared and Fran should have a similar dynamic to Beau and Fran; and Erik is a sim with hidden potential who needs someone to polish him up and help him shine. (His love story with the CAS sim I built-to-suit is one of my own neighborhood's great ones, due to his stark terror of getting what he wanted. He calls her "kid," she calls him "you old prude." He is now Captain Hero and the rumor among the boys who hang around his daughter is that his superpowers include Drug Test Vision.)

Thanks for the suggestions & sharing stories. :) He ended up with triple bolts with Sarah Love in my game, just like ST said, and ACR did the rest, so yeah. Jasmine appears to have chemistry with almost everyone! She's been flirting with Guy Wrightley, Mickey Dosser and Zoe Zimmerman in my game so far, and I haven't even played her lot yet. :P

I only have La Fiesta Tech so far, and I'm trying to resist the temptation to add more sims than I can handle, but I've definitely been wanting to add Sim State... I kind of ship Jared with Blossom Moonbeam, heheh.

Interesting! He ended up with one of Ripp's old girlfriends, the ones with the plaits -- Tina Roennigke -- via ACR, completely derailing any plans I had for him. They're another two-bolter couple who act like triple-bolters, and are happily settled back in Strangetown but not rolling any wants for marriage or babies.
