Challenge 003: Drabble: Pic Prompt
Here's my response to this week's challenge over at
simstorytellers. The prompt was an image this week. I found this one a little harder to get into, and I think it was because I didn't get to create the image myself. That's usually such an important part of the thought process. I wonder if anyone else who did this challenge experienced that.

He's talking to me, running his lines, as if I really care. As if I can talk back. Like he cares. He just wants someone to talk at. The boy wouldn't play along, so he got angry, but it really doesn't make any difference. The boy would just do the same thing I'm doing.
At least I get to sit on the counter.
They're all a bunch of bores, caught up in their miserable, failing careers. Each performing for the rest of the family all day long, as if any of them are paying attention.
Actors. Is there anything worse?

In this case, the humans really are actors. That's the Kim family that came with Pets and it's a part of their backstory. But yeah, I'm sure that all people might seem that way to an animal observer. We're just big, weird animals to them.
