That's just the speed it happened at, believe it or not. The normal interaction isn't that fast, but the when I moved Ophelia with moveobjects, things got a bit crazy. o_O
I just spent about an hour laughing at this. I can make it happen at will too. It happens every time with the same interaction. (Bonus points if you guess which interaction.)
I moved Ophelia out of his arms, then back onto the same block again, so she's hovering above him, and when I released the pause, this is what happened. I'm sure it would work for you if you tried it.
I'm definitely going to try that the next time I play. Now, with who? Mortimer Goth and Dina Caliente? EXCEPT Dina is the one juggling Morty? Yes. This is my plan for tomorrow.
I know. Isn't it too weird? I took some sweet pics of it the first time it happened (Ophelia ends up half buried in the sand), and then I staged this video. I'll show more pics in the next outtakes post.

I never get such awesome glitches in my game. It's always those "Your neighborhood is going to break" glitches. Like a toddler who has a lifetime want to have 20 simultaneous lovers and her twin who wants to become a mad scientist.
You can get a lot of great things like this if you mess around with moveobjects. I have others to show after I reveal the pic that they were created for.
Do those "toddlers with LTWs" glitches really break the game? It seems like it would be normal enough, once their age caught up with them, but I'm sure it's the sign of a larger problem.
Ophelia completely disappeared from the lot. It was as if I had selected her and deleted her. Very unusual. I was expecting them to continue with the Leap into Arms animation, just separated (with her floating in the air), and then snap back to the ground, as this is usually what happens. That isn't what happened at all.
Thanks! That's good to know. I don't think it would really worry me too much, but it's nice to know for sure. The closest thing I've ever seen to that issue in my own game is the LTW not showing up for teens after transition right away, but they were always there when I returned to the lot.
Yeah, this is pure gold. I nearly peed myself laughing when it first happened. It was one of those rare "call everyone in the house over to see" sim moments.

Ten minutes? Ouch! I feel your pain. I spent the weekend with my parents, and they have dial up too and (my family home is located in a pretty rural area, so it's likely to stay that way for a while). I'm glad you stuck it out to view this very special glitch.
It does look like she's picking herself up off the ground at the end, except she's also just sort of floating in the air. The first time this happened, she was knocked into the ground head-first, half buried in the sand. That was just hilarious. Poor Ophelia.
That would be sweet. A sim circus. I could use some of my other freaky glitches for a freak show too. (Have you ever had the one where they suddenly have no arms? That one disturbs me.)
I've been pretty tempted to make some sim videos for a while now, so maybe I'll give it a shot at some point. I'm sure I could piece together something basic, at least. A little Shifting Paradymes music video, maybe... and can't you even play them on the television in-game? That might be useful for later in the story, if they get somewhere with the band.
Where there arms kind of meld into their body? I've seen that (it happens a lot when sims hold babies). Or when the babies get stuck in the parent (happens when potty training). Lately I've had a lot of "baby foot devoured by fat gut" when Lazlo holds Edwin.
I don't know about the custom t.v. show thing. I think I have heard something like that but I don't know.
With the armless thing that I'm talking about, the sim is left with no arms at all - just little stumps. I've seen it when attempting to move one sim from cuddling on one couch to another. I'll be able to show the pics later, after I get to a certain point in the story.
I'm pretty sure that I read that you can insert custom videos, much like the custom paintings or music in the radio. I'm sure I could find out.
I don't think it would be too much work to put together a basic video. It depends on how much editing you do (and maybe syncing it with the music would be challenging too). I'm sure it can be very involved if you get really into it, but it might be fun to try something basic.
That was funny! If I ever saw something like that in my game I'd probably be laughing too hard to catch a video of it. Ripp is taking the term "lady killer" way too seriously I think! LOL!
