I learned how to extract small objects from the game and turn them into clutter, using this very handy tutorial by Azaya at GoS. If you're reasonably comfortable with SimPE, it's actually quite easy.
 

See that can of hot chocolate? I extracted that! ^_^

That's so cool! I tried that tutorial once, but I was not able to keep the texture of the chocolate can like you did!

But you're right, it is an easy tutorial. I extracted the single magazines (and made recolors, but I don't know if I ever uploaded those), a hamburger and a sandwich for my school lot :)
