How Curious it is.

So the next chapter takes place in Veronaville, and Vidcund takes a little trip there. By the end, it will meet up with the point in the story where Johnny (and Pascal, and Jill, and so on) get their phonecalls from Jenny about PT's illness. After that, I can jump back to concentrate on that plot movement (which I look forward to), but this little Veronaville detour works best right here, so I'm going to do that first.

Making baby steps, I added a clone of Vidcund to Veronaville today (yeah, I'm thinking of going back to his tinted glasses for a while, as you can see), and I threw in a couple other sims I've created, just in case I need them later. I already have a copy of them in Strangetown, but extras can come in handy.

Can you guess who they are?

You're right! But they look very nice. I like Vid's nerdy style, I think it's precious. Hehe, his hair is a mess though.

Ooops! I should have edited that instead of deleted it. (It is weird that I usually delete instead, because I hate how that little "this has been edited" line clutters the comment. It's a little bit obsessive, isn't it?)

Yeah, his hair and the shades. I gave him the scruff goatee again, also. It really does up his nerd factor, so it works for Vid.

I thought you did edit it. I was coming to delete mine as well and then copy it and reply to the new one but now it's a mess. D:

When Beau and Franny first started dating? The Wedding of Epicness and Might? I'm sure you remember these occasions where I lost my life.

It does. i always imagined Vidcund as having some form of OCD for some reason. I always remove his beard and clean him up.

We have failed, and everyone can see it. D:

Oh, okay. So you died in a good way. Well, be ready for more where that came from (and maybe also a little of the bad kind).

I sort of see him trying to be cool for Bottom. :P Which isn't really cool, of course, but at least he's trying. I'm sure she'll find it cute.

I think you will like some of the truly ~magical~ scenes I have planned for that update. It'll make up for some of the stuff you're not going to like. *makes worry hands*

Anyone would look stylish next to Vidcund's green glasses. :P Actually, he looks pretty sharp in his professor duds, I think, even if his grooming skills leave much to be desired.

Sounds good to me. I'm prepared for that bit of unfortunate news to reach everyone.

I can't guess, either, but I like the way they look. That outfit from Nightlife, on the man, doesn't get enough use anymore.

Heheh. You should be well prepared for it by now. The story has been moving so slowly lately that it's almost going backwards. I'm really looking forward to increasing the drama. The story will be coming to a big turning point very soon.

That's actually a separate of the top from that outfit, I believe, paired with those pinstripe pants I use on Frances. I'm liking how it all goes with the hat from AL.

And you can't go wrong with a Sentate outfit for the woman. I'm sad that she didn't release the top that was shown in her last download for those jeans and boots.

Well, that shows how much I use it anymore. It used to be one of my favorites before I started downloading clothes and installed later EPs.

And Sentate is a guy, though I wouldn't have known but for the secret about him this week and then checking his MTS Yearbook profile. What's more is that he's my age, which I never assume of anyone unless it seems obvious.

Whaaaaat? He's a guy? Talk about defying expectations!

Also, I feel sort of like a creepy old woman for saying so, but he's a cutie too.

What secret was about him? I don't recall one.

It was number 13 in this week's batch. It pretty much says what you've said just now.

I love reading about the character's past (I've just finished reading Jaxy's story, for some reason the entries that went up at the time you posted it didn't show up in my f-list, but what I meant to say is that I enjoyed it a lot!) and I can't wait to see your take on the Curious elders :)

Yep. That's the way I see them. I based the colouring on the story images, and the features come from the Curiouses (Pascal and Lazlo's eyes and Vidcund's nose, to be exact).

Vid, his father, and Glarn's first wife all contemporaries. Hope it's a nice familiy reunion?

I don't think those guys will be showing up in that update, but maybe the next.

And also, Glabe was Glarn's sister in my version, not his wife. The bio pics make more sense that way to me.

A reunion would be nice (and there will be one, with the current members of the Smith/Curious family), but considering I don't think any of the last generation is still alive. Glabe could technically still be alive, I suppose, but nobody has heard from her since she disappeared.
