Yes, it's controversial to some, but I think (hope) that we will look back on it as such an obvious violation of human rights one day.

I felt a lot better about getting married myself once it became legal in Canada. It would have been sad to think that 1/4 of our wedding party would have been involved in a ceremony that was not an option for them.
