I'm sure that many readers suspected where I was going with Buck. I did drop a couple of significant hints that I didn't intend him to be gay, and also there were a few references to him noticing Jill. I think that Buck is a very feminine guy, but that doesn't mean that he has to be gay. He's Buck. He can bake cakes and do interior design, and still be into the ladies (well, only Jill, really. He loves her).
I agree. Pascal and Nervous belong together... one way or another (but which way with this be.... hmmm). Maxis designed it that way, really, and it makes sense on numerous levels. When I was laying out the plot for this story, I considered many variations, and some of them were very "different", but in the end, Pascal and Nervous really do belong together.
It's nice for Nervous and Ophelia to have each other, isn't it? As family sims who had no family (and had Olive in their lives), they can be a real blessing to each other.
You should totally go for it any write your own sims story! It's great fun. I'm also a highly self-critical person, but the secret is to just do it (like Nike says *snicker*). We all prevent ourselves from doing anything when we demand perfection of ourselves. It's just a sims story, right? Give it try! If you're not fully satisfied, you can always try again. I'm all about going for it.
Are you going to pen a story about Strangetown? That would be exciting. I love seeing the various takes on it.
