Hmm, I'm not sure about the simPE thing. You might want to check laridian's tutorial again. I know she recreats whole families when she moves her characters from neighborhood to neighborhood. But I'm not sure if you can get "distant" relationships back for sims already in game. If you were just starting out, you could go back far enough and "breed" the family the right way.
*snicker* I forgot about that tucked in the boots jumpsuit. It's maxis bad (like the jumpsuits with high heels maxis made). I don't even know what sim I'd ever inflict that outfit on.
I like the wallet chain on the glamour outfits. It reminds me of my wife. ;) But it's not a look for every sim.
One other nit picky grip is (and I don't know which one it came with) the new swimming outfits for males. They have flip flops with them. While I like the look, if I use it for actual swimming, they'll be swimming in flip flops. No, wrong.
As for the boy princess dress, I have a fairy costume for boys (converted from the girl one) so I can always use that. I'd like to have the princess hair for boys, too. I should check simmergirl. Maybe someone there could do a conversion.
