Oh, no offense taken here! It's interesting to see how others interpret the situation, but I just wanted to be clear about Johnny's dealings with Jayne. I could leave it a mystery, but he really hasn't done anything with her. Johnny is, or thinks he is, very virtuous about things like that.
Johnny is stuck in a hard place with that situation. As we see here, he has genuine feelings for Ophelia, but he also wants to do as his father says, and he can't have it both ways, so he's torn. His feelings about Ripp and Ophelia factor in there too, complicating matters even further.
As for Olive, I won't say much more. We'll see how it goes soon enough.
