Happy Birthday, Josh!

This is a belated birthday post for [info]smjoshsims. I was going to do this yesterday, but I didn't have all the images ready. This is not really much of a present, but I thought you might appreciate a glimpse at your Franklin Worthington in my game, who will now be known as Uncle Frank to Frances and co. I'm also finally going to fulfill your drabble request. (Yeah, I'm going ALL OUT. *snicker*)

Here he is, just after I moved him into his new place at Cornerstone Condominiums. I like him in the hair you used on him originally, but I don't have that one (where does it come from?), so I've given him this new Raon retexture by simgaroop. I think it suits him pretty well.

His first action was to hang out with someone. Who was this person, you may ask?

It's his older sister, Aunt Enid. I decided to add a couple more Worthington relatives into the mix, just to fill out the wedding when I finally get around to staging it.

Enid only resembles the clan in the eyebrow region, and maybe the chin. (She also strangely resembles one of my cousins. I think it's the prominent nose.)

Here's grandmother Worthington. Her name is Bianca, and her hair is pretty intense.

This is Frances I, but I'm thinking I'm going to have it so he's already passed on in the story. It seems to make more sense that at least one of the grandparents is no longer alive. I guess I didn't need to make him at all, but oh well... one more grave for the cemetary.

Amusing fact: I used my SO's selfsim as half of his genetic material, so that's his big ol' nose you're looking at. :P

I also added some Irish Setters to the Worthington manor, to be used as "hunting" dogs (Linda's LTW want is that one to get 6 pets to the top of a career, so I figured why not?). They breed them. I didn't grab a pic, but you'll see them sooner or later.

I don't know why I get so distracted by the Worthington family, but I really love adding to and elaborating on that family and making all these extra details. I've been into Malcolm Landgraab a little lately too, and he just opened a car dealership. It was the first time I ever tried one, and it's a fun type of business to play.

And here's the drabble:

Prompt: Guilt
Characters: Linda Worthington
Wordcount: 100 (it's a real drabble, this one)
Imagecount: 2
Warnings: none

How do you feel?

It was a question they asked her, in the meetings. They were all asked.

What did she feel? Embarrassment? Guilt?

Yes, she felt those things, and regret too. She was supposed to be a perfect wife and mother, but a life so rarely lives up to expectations. It was the same with Frances. They had so many expectations for him. How could he ever life up to that?

She felt guilty for the part she may have played in how he turned out. Had she somehow nurtured this softer side of him?

Was she to blame?

Enid is gorgeous. All the Worthington women seem to look like 1940/1950s beauties, but it fits. The last picture is wonderful; Linda and young Frances are so cute together. Linda should never, ever feel guilty for giving Frances the love and attention he needed (and still needs). Drinking, yes, but really, with all the pressures and stresses in her life I understand why she had a drinking problem. (Or I may be remembering wrong. Is Linda the one with the drinking problem?)
