Sim romance and destiny...

Nathan Peet snuck into my downloads folder last night, like he had some plan for getting into my game that I was previously unaware of, so I indulged him and added him to the game today. He had barely moved into an apartment in Sim City when another half alien sim from someone else's game came on the scene. They had three bolts for each other as soon as they met.

Now I'm just in love with them together.

I don't think I could have planned a better match. They have very similar personalities in some ways (both have 10 for active and playful), but enough differences that it would be interesting. I think they just wrote a story for themselves.

It's not hard to see who the aggressor is... Helena makes shy Nathan blush with her bold come ons, but you can tell he really likes it.

I have more pics of Nathan been silly and cute, but I have to go out and see some friends perform tonight (and the first set starts pretty early), so maybe I'll report back later.

Who knows... I might even have another pint or two of Guinness and come home and download some more sims. :P

Awwww, cute! I've rarely had a three bolt couple (not even when I cheat to make the turn ons compatible), so it is really awesome that you got one without even planning it!

Hee, that Nathan was most likely attracted by Helena's cheerful insanity (after all, the Peets are also a bit out of their minds! :P) and that's why he "convinced" you to download and add him to your game.

What a sly little sim!

Is changing the turn ons considered "cheating"? I always do it after I have a couple together. They provide a way to change it in the game, so I take that as an open invitation. (It's sort of funny that I feel that way about turn ons, but strictly adhere to aspirations, but they seem very different to me.)

This three bolt match was very unplanned, though. The romance benefit probably has something to do with it, but it's still pretty crazy to have that much attraction right away.

Hehee. I'll bet that's what it was. Either way, I'm really happy to have this potential match in my game (being romance sims, I won't call them a couple just yet). I have some ideas for a storyline already... I already have something for Helena, but this will still work with it, I think.

Honestly, I've been cheating for so long in my Legacy that I'm not really sure what's allowed or not anymore! :D

You're probably right about the Romance aspiration rewards, because I remember that Helena and Ripp also had three bolts, and as you well know they are Romance sims.

Nonetheless, I always like when this seemingly random quirks of someone's sims change or inspire a new storyline. It's as if they had their own hidden agenda! :P

If it's fun and makes for a good story, I wouldn't worry about cheating on a legacy. Who actually plays them for points and by the rules, anyway?

I think these guys would have good chemistry anyway, since they do have compatible personalities, but I think you're right about the combined effect of the aspiration benefits. Helena and Ripp have actually crossed paths in the game (Helena bought some flowers at the flower shop), and they do have double or triple bolts. That's not odd for Ripp. Since FT, my romance sims have had crazy chemistry, and secondary aspiration increases how many sims they're attracted to as well.

It's always great when the sims do something themselves to influence a story. I always leave a little room for that.
