And here I was, thinking that the dreams were too obvious. Seriously, I was afraid that someone would recognize the General's khakis in some of those photos. There were a number of small clues (all far too subtle, perhaps), and I'll summarize them in an extras post a little later on.

I have carefully considered how the boys will interpret the disappearance of their father. Buzz isn't like Lyla, so him just running off seems like an unlikely interpretation, but they obviously aren't going to assume that it was what actually happened, because who would imagine that? Buck already assumes the worst, since it's very unlike Buzz to not stick to his rigid schedule. And Buzz missing work? Well, something has to be very wrong.

Ophelia is a smart girl, but she was wrong about what Olive was planning to do with those herbs and plants. Olive wasn't ever planning to kill Ophelia, not after she spared her the first time, but she was hoping that Ophelia would do it herself. Olive can blame Johnny and Ripp for ruining that one for her. Ophelia has something to live for now.

In the confrontation between Olive and the Beakers, we can only really root for Nervous Subject, and hope that they don't take out anyone else in the process of destroying each other (and maybe the Beaker mansion too).

Yes, I like that line too. Buck is really something. I think that Buck did get some of that message from the General too, during the redecorating thing, even though Buzz never said exactly what he felt.

The next chapter will deal with the reactions of the other two Grunt brothers. We've already seen what Buck's reaction has been. They each do react in their own unique way, since they have very different feelings about Buzz and each other, and different ways of dealing with life in general.
