Strangetown progress and teaser

So... *crosses fingers*... the computer seems to be fairly stable for now. I'm not sure how long that will last, but I might be able to get a chapter finished while it holds out. I'd love that to be tommorrow, but we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, that's the scene I was struggling with. It was really challenging to do for something so simple (and short, as far as scenes go). The key was using one of the club lights from Nightlife, since it comes with that great built-in dust effect, but it was tricky to wait until it was positioned right. Ofter than that, all I need was some plain black paint.

I thought that episode was pretty funny, even though the show was a little past its prime by that point. I used to be a huge fan of the show too. This image does have sort of the same glowing body effect, doesn't it? I really like how the figure appears to be completely white in most areas, and I was able to obscure the figure. You can do so many things with this game. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of it. It's great.

Thanks for the computer advice. I'm still weighing my options. I'd be interested in seeing that computer tutorial. I've done some things to turn off a lot of the visual effects of Vista already, but I'm always open to learning more. :)

I have a dell, and it was a good computer when I got it. However, I would recommend finding a local computer store and having a computer custom built to your specifications. Dell uses a special tower that only their parts will fit, like the power supply, motherboard, etc. And after a short time, they stop making the power supplies and/or motherboards that you could use to upgrade it.

My computer has the most powerful power supply dell offered for it, and it won't support better than a geforce 8800, so when I need to upgrade, I'm going to have to buy a whole new computer.

I know I'll be either finding someone who builds custom computers or building it myself when I do.
