ACR Again: Is it ACR or LMAO?

So, a little update on my ACR test with JRO...

(Acronyms are FUN! Wheeee!)

Johnny proposed to move the makeout session upstairs and to make it more naked.

(Didn't think he had it in him, did you? He's obviously not holding out for anything anymore...)

After some foreplay... ;)

Johnny wins. Not only did he get there before Ripp did, he knows that a lady needs some warming up first.

Morning arrives, and Johnny heads to class...

Ripp decides to skip it. :P

I'm not surprised that he chose the coach. Not at all.

They seem quite pleased with themselves.

The best part was afterwards, though...

Ripp: Fuck yeah! That was awesome, even for me.

Then they flirt with each other for about an hour or so.

Ummm... *snicker* Did they include that with ACR too?

Oh, wait. That's just the Bon Voyage bow.

Ripp: Hey look - Johnny's home! HI JOHNNY!!!

And Johnny takes over the wooing again.

I'm amused.

Obviously, this is not to be taken as any sort of canon to the story. *snicker* That will progress as I want it to. It was funny to see what they'd like to do on their own, though.

I never got acr working as it should on my game. it worked for short while at first then not all for the rest of the game season, and it was the same in each house *shrug* after a while I figured it had something to do with social levels, but never managed to find out 'why' it happened exactly. (asked around, checked hacks, etc but No luck *sigh*)

I have d/l ACR but I haven't put it back in yet. *rubs hands* I do so love the havoc it causes, and I'm really wanting to try that "fine line between love and hate" mini-challenge thing that was posted a day or so ago!

Hee, what a surprise! You'd think it'd be the romance sim who'd get the first ACR induced woo hoo :D.

Now, let's see how long it'll be before Ripp makes a booty call. And who'll be the lucky person? :P Although it seems like ACR will keep poor Phi quite active. Let the girl have some rest, guys!

Wouldn't ARC make it more difficult to set sims up for a scene? or am I missing something?

That was great! ACR can be funny. For the most part my sims are pretty tame about it. I do like that they get the choice to do it whenever they want though, and that there are consequences for such. *evil snicker*

I never leave freewill on for a scene, and I assume you can still turn this off (I'll check to be sure). It's impossible to set up sims with freewill on anyway. They just walk around and tell dirty jokes and stuff.

You can also set the ACR autonomy to 0, and they won't be affected by ACR anymore. It seems easy to control.

I think Phi has a slight preference for Johnny (by as little as one or two points - pretty amazing), so that's probably why. Or Ripp is just out of practice. :P

Would Ripp even bother to make a booty call if he has The One available to him right there in the same house?

I was just playing around with Don Lothario (he loves ACR - LOL) and I had to make him do a booty call because he wouldn't do it on his own. Is there a setting you have to turn on?

LOL, I KNOW! Don is crazy with ACR- when I tested it, I used him, he woohooed Dina after like thirty seconds of her being there. xD Don=Win.

Don rocks the ACR like nobody's business. He'd better watch out though, because I set his risky woohoo odds really high. *whistles innocently* Old habits die hard, I guess.

I just imagine Don as the type of guy who forgoes the use of a rubber.

Do you still use ACR? I'm a little confused about the jealousy now. Mary-Sue Pleasant didn't react to Daniel shagging the maid, and I was sure her jealousy wasn't off. Isn't she supposed to react to her husband woohooing someone else? Is there another setting I'm missing here?

I really like the idea of risky woohoo. That was one of the things that really convinced me to get it. The try for baby is just too definite. It rarely ever fails. I the idea of having a surprise baby here and there.

Is it wrong that I just yelled in the middle of my house, "Yeah, Ripp, get it!!"?

I'm so glad no one was home to hear that.

I will say that college is where the most whoring takes place. There are so many walkbys and if you're playing in a house of many sims, you'll hear people doing it and immediately think "Who the hell's having sex now?!" It's just like real college. I think Jill Smith was up to seven sims without any help from me before I reigned her in by getting her engaged. And this was before the added walk-by advantage of Freetime.

Yes this is what I did in my daughter's hood. Remember I was worried about it... but it's so easy to turn off. :)

No, I'm not using it currently, but I was SO CONFUSED when Angela walked in on them and just smiled. Maybe you need to set her jealousy higher? Idk, it's really confusing to me at times. xD

I love (LOVE) that they decide when, how many and with whom they have babies. Last play session two surprise babies were born by two romancers - they just grabbed a sperm donor each :)

Also, I like that they (or ACR) shake things up a bit ^^; My sims would never be as experienced as they are if it was just me deciding.

It had to be good if you immediately jump to your feet and start pounding your chest in a primal manner. :D

I love Ripp's face in that pic! He looks exactly like the woohoo heart face thing in the thought balloon. He's like, "Yes, please!"

Yeah, the old, ratty couch. It does seem very Ripp-appropriate. It's like his home base in the house anyway, and who has time to walk upstairs when you're tearing each other's clothes off?

Heheh. We'll see. I know a number of people are wondering about that. As far as the game is concerned, it wouldn't happen in a million years with ACR. Johnny and Ripp are both very straight, since it's determined by previous interactions. I used the "will I woohoo?" dialogue on them, just to see, and they both said, "Not if you were the last sim on earth." *snicker* Of course, I'm not too worried about these game mechanics, since they're pretty reductive. We'll see...

It always bothered me that sims couldn't autonomously woohoo or try for baby, but could do everything else on their own. I love that ACR makes the pregnancy element a little more random and based on the sims themselves.

Hmmm... maybe it was an outdated version? The new AL update seems to work just fine, though I'm a little concerned about the jealousy levels. I'm finding it hard to get a real Maxian jealousy reaction, even to spousal affairs. There seems like something is wrong if Mary-Sue can walk in on Daniel and Kaylynn and not even bat an eyelash. o_O

The lack of jealousy works well for the story, since I tend to turn it off in favour of my own thoughts on jealousy anyway, but for playing, I'd like to have that there.

Yeah, those two things had me LOLing pretty hard. I love Ripp's nonchalant wave to Johnny when he gets home too.

What's the "fine line between love and hate" challenge all about? I haven't heard of it.

Weird. I thought it was as high as it needed to be. I should do some more reading up on it, I guess. I recall seeing a Maxis jealousy add-on, so maybe that's what I need (I just hope it doesn't make things TOO jealous again).

Why did you take ACR out? Does it get annoying after a while, or was it just hard to use it with a legacy?
