The problems with the Smith genetics were fixed with a later EP, so I assume you had one of the latter ones when you played that. Before that, you would have gotten a baby with the darkest skintone (and not just because of Ophelia). The Smiths, despite having either pale or green skin, had very dark skin in their genetics, which was bizarre, to say the least.
