Party....what is this word? No, they wouldn't party with me (us), but we weren't told to fuck off when their adult friends came over. We ended up pretty "mature" because of this.

What they didn't do was worry about us. I mean, they worried, but not about anything that we were doing, if that makes any sense? Granted, we weren't allowed to go running around everywhere, but we weren't in any danger either.

And like now. They know we will drink or smoke or have sex if we want, they just want us to be happy and careful. So I don't know if that makes for a permissive childhood, but...yeah.

Oh, and I didn't have to go to school for the first seven years. And was homeschooled for two years after that. So, Sheltered? Definitely. Permissive? Yeah probably.
