Roof Raiser

Well, we did it. We're so married right now. Everything went very well, and we had a blast. You know the party is a roof raiser when the DJ asks you if you ever get tired. I laughed, I cried, and I have the ring to prove it. My memory panel has "had a great wedding party" in it. It was just about perfect, with enough mishaps and zany antics to make it truly special. We couldn't be happier.

Thanks for all the wedding well-wishes! We're off to Bermuda for a week now, and I'll probably do some thinking about Strangetown while I'm lying on all that nice warm sand.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Hope you have an lovely honeymoon. (What am I talking about? Of course you will. Bermuda!)

Congratulations! Wishing you and your new hubby a long and happy life together. :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Remember to wear your sunscreen, you don't want any honeymoon melanoma.

Haha, yeah, I hardly use the champagne anymore either. If I do, I add it during the last hour to get some pretty pictures, then they don't have time to go all pissy (lolol) about their bladder condition before the party is over. :p

Heehee, I wonder what a real life wedding with water balloons would be like.

[identity profile] meetme2theriver.livejournal.com 2008-08-04 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wait, it's not champagne, it's FRUIT JUICE... yeah...

Oh, and if my sim wedding parties (or other parties) aren't going well, I just send a pair of sims off to woohoo. It works every time. ;)

Hmm, is that why your wedding party was a roof-raiser? ;)

[identity profile] pixelcurious.livejournal.com 2008-08-04 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations to you both, and have a wonderful time in Bermuda!

I hope to hear a bit about the zany antics and wedding mishaps when you come back. ^_^

Congratulations!

Was there any smustling??

Well, we might have capped the night off with some WH, just to be safe. ;)

Thank you. ^_^

As a sneak preview... we had a little trouble actually getting the rings onto the fingers (yes, both of us *snicker* - we have knuckles to die for), we took some sweet photos on the beach (after we kicked the cod heads out of the way *sings* fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads...), and three of my crazy drunken cousins may or may not have dressed in drag to dance with the groom. It was a blast!

Thank you. :) There was a lot of VERY creative dancing before the night was over and some of it did resemble smustling. I have a photo that shows someone dancing in a very smustle-like manner. It's great.

Thank you. :) It was great. We got a lot of "best wedding ever" comments, and I think everyone really did have a good time.

I love this icon. It's so HAPPY! :D

Thats great! I take it you got the 'Threw a Roof Raiser' memory?

-re-reads original post-

Ah, yes. xD

Yeah, we really did. I couldn't have imagined a better day. :) We even have a little touch of drizzle for good luck, but the rain held off for the photos, and I'm told the sun came out for a minute when we exchanged rings - how cool is that?

[identity profile] abbycat900.livejournal.com 2008-08-04 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Its awesome! Perhaps somebody even nabbed a picture? Have fun in Bermuda! Bermuda is such a funny word to say....

Thanks for the info. I'll try to keep that in mind, even though I can't see myself changing a perfect character outfit for the climate... we'll just have to assume that the fabric isn't wool. As a knitter, I know there are numerous options for yarn that would work in a warm climate. Knitted items aren't always warm.

I have LFT set to perpetual fall, so I guess I think of it as a bit of a cooler desert, if such a thing exists. I reserve the right to not make sense in a sims story. ;)

Newfoundland is a funny word to say too. Nobody who lives outside of the island can pronounce it correctly. :P Absolutely nobody.

[identity profile] abbycat900.livejournal.com 2008-08-04 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
And Reykjavik! I can never say Reykjavik correctly. And I had to check the spelling on Wikipedia twice xD

So you just planned those colors because they're in the sims as well? :snicker: Lavendar and yellow is a lovely color combination. Oh man, the reception party... Now THAT I want to see! Sounds crazy alright. :D

[identity profile] muslemura.livejournal.com 2008-08-05 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
Congratulations! Sounds like a lot of fun - even makes ME want to get married (planning a wedding seems like such a hassle) *LOL*

Congratulations on your Roof Raiser wedding & party. Enjoy Bermuda!

Haha, she threw them at the guests? That's so cute for some reason! I wouldn't be surprised after some wedding cake, you'd have seen the somehow floating in the air. I remember at the last wedding I went to(my cousin's) she made the mistake of allowing many children attending and it got...hectic. XD

Good thing! The Bermuda Triangle scares me. I watched some documentary on Discovery Channel about it and freaked me out and made me not want to go there ever. (Clearly, everything I see on T.V. is true :P)
