Of course Buck's room makeover was lovely. I'm glad you didn't go with pink. That would have been to cliche. The lavendar is a good choice, soft but not TOO soft. Almost like he didn't want to scare off dear old dad.
My knee jerk reaction to the Ophelia/Tank relationship was "ooh, have them get it on". But that doesn't seem to work. Ophelia's too involved in her navel gazing to really bed down anyone (or so it seems to me). And Tank's so nervous about being social that he's not going to push (lest he have another embarrassing run in with Johnny).
*snicker* You're carefully planning your reveals like I plan mine in Peculiar. I love putting little things in for the close readers. It's like inside jokes.
As far as the abductions go, the aliens might carefully pick their target but they don't exactly get a signed consent form ahead of time. Though if they're picking, they probably take that into account (who will be a "good" parent--so no snatching a self absorbed romance sim with no "family" leanings, just to see them cry about it later--my aliens have never been so careful, they care only about making the baby, they figure it will be cared for one way or another).
I can't wait to see the newest Smith podling. You have the fix so the baby will be green, right (though Jenny throwing a dark brown baby is always funny).
