Worst break ever...

So, despite being completely unfocused on writing lately, I've found some renewed interest in my sims. I had some time to play the game today (as all of my silly posts attest) and now I'm very excited to move forward with the story, especially where Frances is concerned.

Sorry to spoil so much here, but I'm just so excited for him.

This is, indeed, a romantic moment for Frances (and double spoiler on the new hairdo, but you surely saw that coming). The cafeteria worker is a peeping tom. *snort* How many times will I crack up at that framing hands animation? Surely, a billion times.

I'm still a little out of it where writing is concerned, but I'm thinking that I might be able to get an update moving sometime near the end of the week. I know I must seem a bit crazy lately, but thanks for putting up with me. I really appreciate all of you being there for me, even if it's just the impersonal internet. I feel lucky to have this right now.

Heheh. Well, I'll try not to let you down. I just might be able to put something together by the weekend...

I'm also wondering who Frances is with, but I'm sure we'll find out. All in good time and no hurry. :)

I love the art hands, too. And also the gaming wrist-stretch. The sims do those things at the oddest times, like standing up for their wedding. :D Or that time you had Ripp woohoo in the hammock and the girl stood up from that and started stretching her wrist. That made me giggle... it's like "What were you doing with that hand?"

Ooh, Frances is going to sock it to the old geeze cafeteria worker! *snort* Just messing. (though it seems the cafeteria worker might be into it) That would freak out his family even more, if he shacked up with not just an OLD guy, but an underemployed OLD guy.

Glad to here your funk is lifting. Sometimes you just need to goof off a bit, huh?

Yes, all in good time. :) As we know, Frances is not the type to rush into anything, but he's starting to take a bit of a new outlook on life, so he's going to approach things a little differently from now on. He's not going to be quite as reserved about things as he was with Tank, and maybe he'll even get involved with someone who's a little bolder, and might help him along. ;)

Those animations are an excellent source of comedy. I'm sure we'll get tired of laughing at them eventually, but that wrist thing has so much potential. :P The cheerleader was working the wrist action on Ripp, for sure.

That cafeteria worker is a perv, I tell you. He was watching for HOURS out that window, while Frances was getting a goodnight kiss or two. *snicker* Frances could easily get some geeze love if he was up for it. Oh, how the tables have turned... first he has no love life, and then he has people throwing themselves at him, right, left, and centre.

Yeah, that would be a big three strikes for his family - old, male, and underemployed. Massive fail.

Goofing off does seem to be working like a charm. Just playing the game for a change has been very helpful. I'm thinking of trying out a couple of those new drabbles this week, and try to make them work towards my next chapter. That will help me along too.

Speaking of goofing off, I have some comments to catch up on, don't I? I'm really goofing off on that.

Whoa, that is quite a resemblance there. :D

I know. Isn't it? I first noticed it way back when he first turned up in madame_ugly's Peculiar. Someone else mentioned it in my comments since then, so it can't just be me. He really has similar lips, chin area, and even the nose (it really has the same upturned angle and bridge bump). He wears the sideburns like him too. It's a pretty good likeness, I think.

Here are a couple of other good examples:

Well, its nice to know that you're feeling a bit better about writing! I'm feeling a bit that way myself, though I blaim my game for that (crashing every five minutes certainly does not make me want to move on in the story). Frances's picture has the most awesome profile! That cafeteria worker is my favorite dude. He's just awesome. I'll be happy to see a new Strangetown update, whenever that may be <3

Yay Frances!!! :D

Also, don't worry about us having to "put up with you", it's insanely easy to do so when you post such amazing stuff even while taking a break :D :D

Thanks. :) I've just been so erratic lately that I'm even annoying myself, so I figured everyone else would be too.

Yes, Yay for Frances. You have no idea how excited I am for him. I love Frances, and since I've just put him through such a heartbreaking situation, I'm happy to turn the tide for him.

A crashing game is no fun. Do you know what the problem might be?

Frances has a great profile. His nose is like a perfect M shape... like a small stepladder. :P

Nope! Not a clue. :( I'm blaiming my computer, so hopefully when I get my new one (tomorrow, yes! All these years of waiting, to finally pay off...) it'll run great. We actually went to the store today, but found out I could get a hundred dollars off if I went in tomorrow, which would give me just the boost I need to get a computer with better RAM!

I love Frances. He's just awesome. <3

He seems to have a bit of a weird thing going on with his forehead there.

Nope. That's just his "normal" brow. Heheh. The expression exaggerates it, but he has a big brow anyway.

Is it just the angle?

Or is it a bit lumpy?
