Yeah, it was pretty out of nowhere... just the way I wanted it. It's fun to throw in a shocker like that (though I admit to being a little nervous about it too - wondering if it might all be a bit too much). I'm glad I did keep it there, since it really does provide a nice turning point in both of their situations, with the collision of their loneliness.

It really is a strange relationship, isn't it? I think it must seem strange when two close friends fall in love, but to have three friends who are all tangled up like this is even more unusual for all of them. There is something desperate about it. They're all desperate to have that connection, like a family. Yeah, it's probably not the healthiest thing, in some ways, but if they can work it through and understand what's really going on, they'll probably be okay.
