Heheh. The thought of you waking your mother up with giggles over this really makes my day. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Jaxy and Ripp have always been pretty good friends, but Jaxy doesn't open up to others easily, so this shows that she trusts him more than most. This gives a clearer idea of exactly what Jaxy has had to deal with and why she's trying to escape it all. For her, the band was a way ou, so she's never have to return to that situation, so you can see why it means so much to her. It's also a way for her to deal with it, and get all of her buried rage out. Jaxy writes all of the lyrics, so it's a form of therapy for her.
Yeah, I managed to squeeze a two for one in there with the hair and used the top two hairtyles... wasn't I crafty? ;) I liked the fauxhawk better, but there was something about the messy one too, but I'll have to save that one for a guy. So far, I've only really used it on Lazlo. I'm trying not to overuse it, since it's one of my favourites.
After Ripp first met Jaxy, he reflected on how well they might have gotten on as a couple (or at least have hot sex together *snicker*). The fact that he does desire her, but she really doesn't return the attraction, makes for a funny dynamic.
I think Tank has come a long way too. I'm glad that people react so positively to his progress. Tank's a sensible guy, but he also thought a lot of his father. It's hard for him to have opinions that are different from the Generals, but he can't cling to ideas that he knows are wrong. Having Frances as a friend was the key to really getting him to think that through. He really has gained a lot from that relationship, so it's good to see him fighting to keep it.
Oh, that's right... I had forgotten that you showed them as teens too. It can be hard not to end up doing the same thing as someone else at times, since we're using the same characters, and I do tend to do a lot of flashbacks. I wasn't intentionally trying to rip you off there. :P
I showed them as teens there to explain why I haven't shown Frances and Guy together as friends in university, even though he shows up as a friend to Frances when you start playing him (really, I've ignored Guy up to this point because he hadn't particularly interested me... I had never played the fraternity). The answer: they USED to be friends, but they fell out of touch. It does make sense for them to be tied together by their rich families. I remember someone pointing that out to me back when I first introduced Frances, and I figured I'd have to show a connection between them at some point.
Well, we only got Frances' side of the story there, so maybe Guy wasn't really being as mean spirited as he assumed. He might have believed that he was helping Frances, by some strange logic (which relates to Tank and Buck's dollhouse - the same idea). Niceness doesn't always mean that someone wouldn't do something to hurt someone else. They might do so unintentionally, thinking they were doing something for the best.
