With ACR the sim sex drive is controlled by their timer, which can be viewed by looking at their token stats. When a sim utilizes their ACR driven woohoo options their timer is reset which puts them in idle until the timer goes off again. Most aspirations timers are around 24 hours. Once the timer goes off the sim starts looking for an appropriate target for their advances, canceling actions just makes them start looking again pretty much puts them in a loop.
