Here's a little something that I've been working on for my next update. It's a photo booth photo for Johnny's bedroom, which I've created myself and will add to the game by recolouring a painting with SimPE. I had to do it this way because you can't stuff three sims into a photo booth, which is a real shame, since people do it all of the time in real life (I know that I have, many times). I considered posting a WCIF post to the Sims 2 community, but then I figured that if someone had created a hack that cool, I would have heard about it by now. So, using Jaydee's Photo Poses Animation Box, I took the matter into my own hands.

I'm so pleased with that arched eyebrow shot of Johnny. He's so not amused by Ripp's antics. It's just perfect.

All I have to do now is update SimPE and do the recolour. It's been updated for K&B Stuff, but I can't seem to extract the files into the program folder that I created for it on my computer. I followed the instructions to the letter, but my system will not allow them to be placed in the folder (yes, the computer must take all of the blame for this, not me). I don't know if it's some security setting, or what, but I'll gladly take suggestions, if you have any. I run Vista, if it makes any difference.

I have that animation box but haven't used it yet (I'm saving it for "top model").

I read something about creating ANOTHER folder for this version of SimPe:

Please install to a fresh folder, not over the top of your previous installation, or we won't want to have to deal with your support queries

I haven't tried to install it yet, though. So I have no idea what it means.

Aren't they cute, though? It was fun to think of was to combine the various animations for all three of them.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. I followed their instructions, and named the folder after that version of SimPE, exactly like they suggested. I get a warning about being denied access to that folder. I know that Vista gets weird about admin access (you have to okay almost everything manually - it asks you "are you sure you really want to run this application?"), so maybe that's the problem. I could fiddle around with Vista settings, but I really have no idea what I'm even looking for.

That animation box is great for things like this, so it should be very useful for your Top Model thing. The Hula mod does some of the same stuff, but this one has pretty much everything from the photo booth, loading screens, and icon pics.

I agree. I can get a lot of really good faces from both of them, in different ways. And so cute. *grin* So cute.

Heh...Johnny is so...humorless sometimes, and Ripp is just a total cup-up. And Phi just puts up with all of it. The faces they all make are so great.
It is too bad you can't do three at a time in the booth. Especially for teens out together.

This is such a great idea! You're right, they should have made it so more than 2 sims can go into a photobooth. I can only imagine one sim getting kicked out on their butt because the others want to woo hoo. Aw

Aww I love these! Especially the one where Johnny looks embarrassed (Ripp looks like he's totally clueless in that picture) and the one where Ripp and Ophelia look like they're about to kiss him.

I absolutely love the bottom right shot. All of them are great and have something perfect for the characters, but there's something about that bottom right one.. Love it. :)

Bottom right seems like Ripp and Ophelia are both going to kiss Johnny on cheek and Johnny is looking at Ripp like "Don't you dare"

Is it just me or does Ripp look like a total space cadet in all these pictures?

I have several animation hacks now but I don't think I have this one. (runs off to grab it)

I'm jealous of Ophelia. Seriously. Well, not so much the tragic past, but her present seems to almost make up for it. She's surely lucky to share a photo booth with these guys.

The animation box gets all the credit for the expressions. I just selected them and posed them together. I love the arched eyebrow (and the flared nostrils *snicker*). It makes me wish that more animations featured that look. I'd use it all the time on Johnny. Maybe I will use this pose again in the story. Johnny just seems like a brow archer to me.

I think it would be a fun feature to have in the game. Also, it would be very cool if the personality of the sim determined which of these poses they took, like I was doing. The serious ones would try to stay sensible (like Johnny) and the playful ones would ham it up (like Ripp). I guess it would be a lot of programming for one little feature of the game, but I think it would be very cool.

Thanks. If I had the skills, I would try made the hack myself. It would be a lot of fun.

I think Ripp looks like he's talking in that second one, or just trying to look stupid. It was one of the "goofy" poses. I totally think it looks like they are going to kiss him in the last one. Or, at least, Ripp looked at him, so he started to wonder.

Ripp makes the best goofy faces. Hell, all of the Grunts do, including Buzz.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ripp was about to kiss him on the cheek, even though it might be just for the sake of making a funny photo. "Well, Phi's doing it, so why can't I?" :P

I love the picture of Johnny getting in between Ripp and Phi's kiss. He's looks very suspicious.

There's also a progression, I just realized. Ripp starts out in back. Then in the lower left, he's squeezing to the front. Maybe that's why The Brow is arched. :D

In that photo, with Ripp posing all coquettishly, it seems like Johnny's trying to say, "Am I really getting my photo taken with this weirdo?"
