Strangetown extras: Off to college we go!

You'll get to see Jill and Buck in university in the next chapter, but I just got them set up there tonight, and I wanted to share a couple of pics right away. I thought I had enough willpower to keep it to myself until the update, but that sort of evaporated when the cutest thing happened autonomously, so you get a sneak preview.

That's right. The fish came too. *grin*

Buck got himself a flattering new haircut (or did he cut it himself?), and he's wearing one of my other favourite things about Kitchen and Bath: the argyle sweater! I have so much love for that outfit, and it's perfect for Buck. Just perfect.

The apartment that I picked just happened to be the perfect shade of purple to match Buck's stuff too. He loves it.

And here's Jill. I think she grew up cute. She's completed her funky new look with a striped jumper-type dress (with more green, of course) and some cool boots.

Hey, I can see Johnny, Ripp and Ophelia's apartment through the window! I can even kind of see that llama crossing road sign on the wall. That's a pretty high level of detail.

And this is what I just had to share with you: autonomous serenading! *heart melts* Buck is just too sweet. He gives me cavities.

Aww! That's really sweet. I just love it when sims take it upon themselves to romance each other.

They're both so cute and that sweater is perfect for Buck. And that new hair do is great.

Uh oh! I wonder if Johnny planned their apartments being so close? Over protective brothers are just too cute.

Buck and Jill are notorious for this stuff too. They fell in love all by themselves as teens too. On a different lot, when they were out of my control. I can't really argue with that, since they're a good match.

I'm very pleased with Buck's new look. I had a couple of other options, but nothing quite as good as that new outfit from Kitchen and Bath. I remember when they first posted the item shots from that SP. These sweaters were what I went crazy over. Perfect for Buck. Buck is one of the main reasons I want to install Free Time too (for the sewing machine). That sim really has me wrapped around his little finger.

*snort* I didn't even think about Johnny doing that. Now I'm sure that he probably did. I think I can even see him in the window with his binoculars from here. Yeah, Johnny's big brother act is cute, for sure.

I love the hair, it's the nose that takes some getting used to. Yikes. Wow. I didn't imagine it would get even bigger. (Sorry, Buck!) But aw, he's so sweet. And I love Jill's outfit! :)

I know. His nose is a little shocking at this transition. It's even bigger than his brother's noses when he's still a teen, so you have to know what's coming... but wow. That's how I reacted when I first saw it too.

Well, you know what they say about a guy with a big nose, right? ;) (Yeah, he can breath better... *snicker*)

Jill's outfit is from H&M Stuff. I forgot to mention that. I think it's very Jill.

Now you need to paint a portrait or make a poster that you can hang at the window and see if it looks like Johnny staring out at them when you're in Buck and Jill's place. Would it work? ;)

Hmmm. I wonder... It might work. You really can see the yellow llama sign. Maybe I need a Johnny statue. :P

I laughed so much when Buck became an adult in my legacy. My sister was watching me play, and just as he transitioned she said "What happened to that guy's nose?! Did he smash it against the wall or something?". But then again, this is the same sister who called me insane when I chose an alien sim as my heir too :P.

Personally, I like it a lot. I think it's unique and I'm so glad his daughter inherited it (and I'm hoping his future baby does too!).

Awww, there's nothing cuter than autonomous romantic interactions. The serenade one is so cheesy, but adorable. And it works with those two :D. The outfits are nice too!

Oh yeah! Get FT already ^^. Most of the bugs have been fixed somehow and the hacks have been updated too. You're gonna love the new objects.

They are a good couple and so sweet together. I hope nothing changes that.

I love Buck's nose! And you're right, it did grow lol.
When I moved my Buck to college, I literally gasped. Prior to moving him he had been swimming in the pool that my brother put into the Grunt's yard non stop and became thin. Then, he goes on to transition into a tight tank top and army pants! I was like, where did my cute little Buck go and how come he got replaced with this hottie?!

I love autonomous serenading. Know who does it all the time in my game? Tank!

I just have to say that thank God Buck managed to snag Jill early, because that nose is ridiculous. I love him to bits, but goodness - he reminds me of a bird!

He did grow up very handsome though and the nose doesn't look too bad in the last shot.

Also, Jill's outfit is fabulous, though I do miss her blonde hair, despite understanding why she dyed it green. Also I love their pink kitchen!

He does it in mine, too! OMG I was shocked, SHOCKED! when I saw just how affectionate and romantic he really is! (He *never* rolled any affection wants beyond "talk to").

I'm going to be heartbroken if they don't port K&B for mac (still waiting on Celebration stuff and H&M stuff). I'd be able to get rid of a HUGE chunk of my DL folder (all the sweaters, kitchen stuff, bathrobes, etc). T_T

You should so make a Johnny watching poster. You could use the binoculars in freetime and moveObjects him in front of a window, and then put a closer window frame over *that*.

They both look great! And the serenading... *melts*

I like his nose too, but it has to grow on you. It certainly adds character. I think it will usually be inherited, since larger or more extreme features are usually dominant (or so I hear).

The serenade is pretty cheesy, but very cute. I can see them doing it for a laugh. As friends first, I can see them not taking themselves too seriously and just being silly like that.

My favourite for ridiculous interactions has to be when a guy leaps into a girl's arms. Johnny pulls that on Ophelia every now and them, and she's surprisingly strong for a girl. *snicker* I also laugh myself silly when Johnny gooses Ophelia and Ripp gets embarrassed. He always cringes at the ass grabbing. Of course, he's a huge hypocrite, since he doesn't hesitate to offer the same move himself. I guess it's only cool when he does it. Silly sims.

I'm seriously only waiting for InSIM to update now, and I heard that it might happen soon. Once it does, I'm going to install it, and Bon Voyage too.

It grows A LOT during this transition, but that's too be expected. Tank and Ripp have similar nose overhauls, but they start out a lot smaller, so it's less drastic.

Well, they have to grow up some time. :) And sometimes they grow up hot.

Tank makes me laugh. For someone as dead serious as he is, he's drawn to doing a lot of goofy things. It makes no sense. Not to mention the autonomous hit on he directed at Ophelia that time in my game. That was so random.

Random sim behaviour can be so... random. It amazes me.

It is a bird-like beak, isn't it? Very triangular. (And Tank has an eagle-like beak too, doesn't he?)

You know that it's not about the looks with Buck, even though he is super cute anyway. That's not what draws Jill to him.

Well, Jill might go back to her natural colour at some later time. It might just be a phase. I think she looks good in her new quirky look, though. It seems to work with the way her character has been developing.

They have a pink kitchen and a purple living room. It's like a My Little Pony dream castle, and I didn't even plan it.

Wow. It takes them forever to port them, doesn't it? That's a shame, and so unfair.

Maybe I could make the poster and stick it to the outside of the house to make it look like a window. *snicker* It's one of those funny little things that will probably make it into the story somehow.

Thanks. Makeovers are always fun. I try to keep them pretty consistent throughout each age group, so the transitions are a nice opportunity to make a change.

Serenading is just the cutest thing. I wish they'd include some new romantic interactions (maybe with the new EP?). It would be nice to have more options for stories.

I'm glad you like it. I think the shape of that hairstyle suits her face shape too. I'm pretty happy with the whole look.

Buck is great at any age, but it sure is a surprise the first time you see him transition. :P

Buck is so cute!! *pinches his cheeks* And that nose! I swear it gets bigger for every story I see him in. :P You know he got that from Lyla, but on her it wasn't as bad, since females are always a bit "prettier" than their make equivalents.

Jill obviously takes heavily after her mother. The way EA did the genes is just mystifying as both Johnny and Jill inherited a lot from their mother, whereas the twins took heavily after their father, which makes more sense. Oh well, thems be genes for ya! :P

The wait isn't *too* bad with eps, but I have an awful feeling they just chose not to port the two stuff packs. :(

Johnny watching would have a million and one uses! Watching Jill, watching Ripp and Phi, watching Jayne...

When I suspected that my neighborhood was going to implode, I opened SimPe and took notes of all my sims stats so I could re-create them as close as the original. And of course, I peeked at their DNA data to keep the family genes consistent.

I don't know if this is something that randomly generated in every game (like turn ons and turn offs), but Buck's dominant features are first his nose and then his cheeks. If that's true in all sims games, be sure that nose will still be around when you "breed" him :P.

(And yup, he was also missing some recesive DNA skintone data.)

Yeah, I don't think anyone can take that serenade interaction seriously. Now that I think about it, Buck also does that a LOT with his wife, while her younger brother makes that "dude is crazy" gesture. It's very funny :P.

But the guy leaping into a girl's arms interaction gotta win them all! I've never seen it, though. And I can't imagine Ripp being embarrassed by that (or Johnny goosing Ophelia, though). Is it because he's very nice? I don't remember if he's shy or not, though.

You're gonna enjoy those EP's, I'm sure of that :). By the way, I've got a link to a tutorial that tells you how to disable the "launcher" (which I hate) when you start the game if you ever need it. And also the files you'd need to avoid "Securom" if you are worried about that.

Yeah, any children Buck sires have a very good chance of inheriting his nose. At least one of his boys did the last time I bred him and their last daughter did, too. Unfortunately she never got to teen so I don't have a glimmer of how it would have been as an adult. Ripp cringes at ass grabbing that he is not a participant in? LOL! Silly Ripp! That's as bad as when I had my Ripp at college and one of the streaker girls came in. One of the guys that I was playing as gay was all "La-de-da-da..." nothing. Ripp was the one that acted all shocked. Good try, Ripp but no-one believes you.
I haven't really seen any jumping into each others arms automonously, but I've seen a lot of serenading. Loki likes to serenade Circe. He does it all the time.

I think they're really sweet together. I hope they can stay together. And I love that he brought the fish! :D
