Vidcund has a bad feeling about Crystal and he can't quite put his finger on the reason... and then the phone rings. He really isn't seeing the situation with clear eyes anymore. (On a silly note, Crystal and Circe have the same hairstyle. *snicker* It wasn't intentional, though.)
Jill and Johnny are pretty different people, so of course she reacts a little differently. Johnny has a bit more of that Curious family mindset about the importance of doing what's right for the family, and trying to please everyone, but they're not really that different. Johnny's a little defiant in his own way too. I'm looking forward to the point where they get together to discuss it, which I haven't thought about all that much yet. Johnny and Jill's relationship doesn't get much screen time lately, and I like their dynamic (and the fact that Johnny calls her "Sis").
The trio have found a delicate balance, but it only takes a little shift to change that. A lot of things might happen there, and maybe it is a little too intimate all around. We've seen Johnny's offhand thoughts about their future - that he believes it will change, but isn't able to picture that at all. We don't know what Ophelia and Ripp think. Ripp, I'm sure, doesn't think about the future much at all, but we know that there is something that he wants. And what does Ophelia really want from "her boys"? She's described them that way before, both in a single thought, hasn't she?
I find it interesting that those scenes made you a little uncomfortable. They were pretty intimate moments, and a painful one too, for Frances. Well, if you think that was uncomfortable, just wait until you see what's next. *whistles innocently* Well, maybe it isn't quite as rough as the scenes with Tank and Frances, but I have a couple of other spots of drama waiting in the wings. I think that this situation, while tense, will be good for Tank and Frances in the long run, if Tank manages to work through it.
I like your mention of Kendall there. She's going to have a larger role in the story as time goes on. She's a pretty driven girl, with similar aspirations or complimentary aspirations in life to those that Tank has,and she'll be sticking around in one way or another.
Thank you. :) I'm glad it's as entertaining to read as it is to play/write. I know that I have fun with it, at least. I'll be able to get the next one out pretty soon. Let's just say that the right material can be very inspiring. ;)
