Everything does sort of start to happen all at once, doesn't it? It feels a bit like knocking over the first domino, and them letting them go, and I'm not finished yet. There's more
Ripp's been sliding in that direction for a while now. He hasn't been able to ignore his feelings for Ophelia like he used to (and really, he's never been all that good at it - remember when he saw her kissing Tank?). It's funny that it's happening just as Johnny stops worrying about it so much.
Vidcund just can't help himself with Circe, but he does intend to keep himself on the rational side of things, and more or less spy on her, though Circe likely has similar plans of her own. Who really has the upper hand, though? We know who has the most power in their relationship, don't we?
Johnny didn't actually take the news very well either. He also stormed out of the room, but he did sit down and talk about it with his father afterwards. Jill isn't likely to do that, since she's not as close to her father as Johnny is. She's definitely a lot more rebellious than Johnny. She not exactly towing the Smith family line by tossing away her virginity before she leaves for college.
Tank wasn't able to let Frances down gently because he freaked out. He was shocked, and that was his knee-jerk reaction. He and Frances had become pretty good friends, and he's really Tank's only friend, so he might take some time to think about it all, when he gets some time and distance from him. Staying friends might not be impossible. It depends on how Tank handles it, once he has time to think.

Thank you.
