Some friends of ours are actually having a Christmas party on that day, too
In some countries (specially Latin countries, like Mexico and Argentina) it's very common to celebrate the Three Kings Day (Dia de Los Reyes) which is on January 6 (the "Old Christmas day", as I understand). :)

And your 12 days idea is really neat, btw, it'll extend the merriness a lit' longer ^_^
