I don't know if this is always true (I think I tend to portray certain characters from an overly sympathic angle at times, because I feel like they are more likely to be misunderstood if I played them straight), but I do try to keep it balanced most of the time. I'm happy to hear that it comes off that way, because I do hope to show that all of these characters have their flaws, but also their strengths. It's a quality I admire in other stories, so I try to emulate it.
