Sims 3: Story progression

You know one of the things I like about Sims 3 so far? Story progression.
 

You know what I don't like? Having sims inherit their parent's hairstyle as well as the colour (though it's sort of cool when they have a specific texture, but not so much when it's the length). If you've used the hair as a clue, you'd be right in guessing that this is Strange's daughter. I stopped playing her after I went on a JRO breeding spree and I noticed one day that she had spawned another larval baby, but since this was before the awesome mod, I assumed it was just a copy of her.

Not so.

Old man Ripp eventually got a call to notify him of Strange's imminent death (yeah, it was a little odd to read that, I admit), so I sent him to visit. First I had to find the house, because she moved to a big mansion. It also turns out she's in a relationship with Franny (yes, my half-assed attempt) and Deena Tomato is their daughter. A second glance at the brows and eyes and it's obvious. I had dropped Franny on her lot because he couldn't afford any of the available lots, so I guess they hit it off. Colour me amused.

She does look like Franny, but it's weird that sim!You slept with him. She must have drugged him and stolen his sperm. Or is Sims3Franny straight?

Awww! She's cute! I agree that it's silly that the kids inherit the hair styles (or worse, the hair dyes) of their parents, but I hope that will be fixed with either the Awesomemod or future EPs.

And that's exactly why I don't like to play with my simself :P. I don't want to see myself die!

He he... Sims 3 Frances is straight. Or maybe he needs his Beau (I'm trying to breed the premade sims to "create" a Beau, sort of what I did with Cassandra, but it's taking forever!).

Ha! That's great. Sorry to hear of your upcoming demise, but it's so cute that she leaves behind a legacy with surprisinglystraight!Frances.

Also, is that a pic of Deena as a teen or YA or Adult? It's so frustratingly difficult for me to tell. All the teens look like adults in TS3. I had a sim go from a cute little 10 year old to a 30 year old soccer mom overnight. I do hope the local establishments are carding these "kids!" ;)

At least in sims3 your ghost will be more exciting (maybe your ghostly self will take the car out for a ride or go biking--if so, please share the pics).
