Thanks. ^_^ I wrote that about a million years ago (no, really!) but I was waiting for the right casual moment to use it.

Heheh. Maybe. I hate those "demonic possession" jokes, because really those eyes are a since that the sim is happy or turned on. It's a glazing over of the eyes, and in that shot, it shows that Phi has noticed that Ripp is there (*snicker* I wonder what she's noticing there behind her), and that she likes that.

Have you noticed that ALL of the eyes in Sims 3 look like that? They don't have much (if any) light source in them in the pictures that people have been posting of the leaked game. I don't like that at all. It's (almost) even worse than the default Sims 2 eyes, with their hazy, undefinied light spots and lack of definition.

I'm not really sure what sort of tension you're referring to there. Between Ripp and Johnny or Ripp and Phi?

Hahah. No, it wasn't the butter (as far as I'm concerned, that was a dairy-free substitute, or tahini or something). It was a clothing change in the first scene and a hairstyle change in the scene where Tank calls Ripp (Phi is hown in her old 'do again).

Most of Johnny and Ripp's "fighting" is just play. It's more like sparring than any sort of agressive thing. It's true, though, what you said. They speak freely and confront each other all the time, and that shows a much closer bond that people who are careful to unhold social niceties with each other, in my experience. My best friend is someone who I could be frank with too, and who I can argue and "fight" with and think nothing of it.

Yeah, that's a good point. It does show the changes happening there.

I completely agree. There was so much more effort put into all the little connections in the three original hoods. There's a story and a real sense of community there. The newer hoods are all lacking this in a big way. They have some interesting characters, but the overall package is lacking.

I will get into more details about the virus soon (hopefully finding a real-life example to emulate in its effects and such, though I'm sure it won't exactly be very scientific). It doesn't effect the full sims, or even the half sims, which is what the aliens were hoping for. They know they're pretty much doomed by it, but they hope to continue on with the hybrid sims.

Yeah, it's a sad day for them. It's funny how the timing of this post matched up with the death that was happening in my real life and in some of the people on my flist too. I guess those things are always happening, but it seems more prominent in my life right now, so this is a good way to explore it more fully.
